In the Pink GDT - Luscious Lace

Hello Everyone!

I am back today for another appearance as the Guest Designer for the wonderful challenge blog IN THE PINK. I do hope you will join us for CHALLENGE #56 - LUSCIOUS LACE! Thank you very much to Christine and the talented DT ladies for inviting me to join them!

We all love lace, right ladies! The only thing to remember is you need to use lots of pink on your creation! Thank you to everyone who joined us for the "Spots and Stripes" challenge, there were so many wonderfully delicious pink cards, I do hope to see you again this time! Here is my make.

The wonderful Woodware flower stamp is one of the prizes that I won at the Craft-Room Challenge Blog for the projects you see here below. I also received another stamp set, that I hope to get to use very soon. I would like to thank the entire team for choosing my Summer Birdhouse and Wedding Card as their winning choices and for mailing me such wonderful prizes!

I stamped the flowers two times and coloured both of them with Copics. The bottom layer, I fussy cut out the entire flower and stem, the top layer I only fussy cut out the roses and then popped them up on foam dots. I added some glitter to the petals.

The frame is Tim Holtz Tag and Bookplates which I antiqued with home-made crackle paint and edged with Hero Arts Soft Blossom ink. The sentiment is from the BoBunny Wedding Bliss stamp set.

For the background I painted my card stock with a mixture of three different DecoArt pink paints and sponged on some Hero Arts Soft Blossom ink as well as some Tim Holtz Worn Lipstick. I stamped some script text in Archival ink Coffee and then used some home-made texture paste and a stencil to add the pretty flower pattern.

The corner piece is made from crafter's clay and a Martha Stewart mold, I antiqued it with Tim Holtz Gathered Twigs and added some glitter.

I am entering my card into the following wonderful challenges:

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.

  5. Another stunning project Pamellia! I love how you placed the lace diagonally on the card. You sure know how to fussy cut! Those roses turned out great and I love how you made the blossoms pop out. The sentiment on top of the frame is one shabby perfection and the butterfly is so pretty embellished, I got hypnotized by it! Thank you for bringing so much joy and beauty to the world! Now I have to go back to making green tentacles for my cupcakes :) Hugs! Samra

  8. Another stunner Pamellia, this one has a shabby chic feel to it with the soft pinks and delicate roses and the little touches of glitter really makes the flowers pop. And the little corner embellishments are so dainty looking, never thought about making corners, my thinking's not got beyond flowers. (no surprise there I hear you say).

  15. Hi Pamellia
So beautiful and delicate. You must have an incredibly steady hand to cut around those flowers so perfectly. Did you get in the line twice when they were dishing out the bowls of talent? Greedy girl lol!
Congratulations on your wins. It would've been a crime if that birdhouse hadn't won. Same with your spooky house, so I look forward to hearing what you win for that.
    Best wishes.

    1. Aahhh, thank you so much Ang! The flowers were a bit tricky, had to use a craft knife in some spots, but turned out ok in the end. Wouldn't want to have to make a bunch of them that's for sure! lol big hugs :)
