Try it on Tuesday - Hot and Wild

Hello Everyone!

It's time to start another challenge over at Try it on Tuesday. This time around our theme is HOT AND WILD. We would like you to use hot colours or wild animals, or both. I decided to do a bit of both for my card. I have used a combination of digital images and stamps along with some of my fun new DecoArt products to create my African themed piece.

I am very short on time recently, so I haven't gone into too much detail on my process. If anyone has any questions please let me know and I will go into more detail for you. Thanks.

DecoArt products used:

For the background, I painted a piece of kraft paper with layers of Tan and Pebbles paints. I used some texture paste and a Tim Holtz stencil to lay down the pattern, then I coloured it by rubbing the paints and the Fluid Acrylics and Antiquing Cream with my finger over the surface. I highlighted everything with a touch of Metallic Lustre Gold Rush. Then I layered another stencil pattern using Crafter's Workshop Art Is stencil and just left it white.

For the leaves I fussy cut out some stencilled ferns from PaperArtsy and coloured them with a couple of DecoArt acrylic paints and then highlighted them with some Gold Rush. I also splashed some Tim Holtz Gathered Twigs ink here and there just to mussy things up a bit.

UPDATE:
My jungle card won awards in the following wonderful challenges:

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.
