Crafty Boots - Something for the Lady

Hello Everyone!

Just a quick thank you to everyone for all your kind words about Dianna. I cried a lot as I read all the comments, but you gave me so much comfort with your thoughts and wishes! Thanks so much for helping me grieve. Now on to the fun stuff!

I'm super excited to be here today as the Guest Designer for the fabulous Crafty Boots Challenge Blog . Their current theme is "SOMETHING FOR THE LADY". How perfect is that, a great excuse to allow 'Soft Angel' to take the reigns and do something super feminine that I can send off to my Mom when Mother's Day rolls around! I decided to put a video together on this one, so if you care to watch, you can find that further down the post. Hope you enjoy.

I received several inquiries about this heart frame the last time I used it, so I will address that here. I won the silicon mold in an Ebay auction last year. I don't know who the seller was or if there are any more. I'm sorry, I wish I had more information. So here is the video for you, if you care to have a peeksie. Thanks so much to everyone!

***

Remember I told you about the leak in the rain gutter, well I discover this morning that a little bush beside the front door has gotten covered in icicles because of it. Aside from a light dusting of snow, it's the only bit of real winter around here, so I took quite a few shots of it!! lol

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.

  1. Hi Pamellia, please forgive me but I sometimes get lost for words when I see something as beautiful as this creation, I think I need to swallow a dictionary, lol, my words may not be eloquent and may be repeated over and over again but I hope that my true feelings come across, you always manage to transport me to a totally different world, a world of beauty and love, I am in awe of this stunning work, the softness of the colours they look so light and wispy, the design is so detailed and very pleasing to the eye, stupendous work. Love those icicles on the bush you are also an ACE photographer, thank you for sharing.

  16. Just gorgeous Pamellia, so delicate and dreamy, your Mum will love it. I see you use a glue gun......I bought a cheap one a few years back and never got on with it...it seemed to drip glue all the time it was turned on. Do you like yours....is it a particular brand? I tend to go for heavy tacky glue. Your icicles are magical....that texture would be great on a card! Keep snug xx

  26. My dear Pamellia, my heart is so happy today because we are spoiled by not only a gorgeous card, but a video, too! **Happy dance** Your card is stunning. The airiness you achieve in your designs is perfectly divine... and truly leaves me speechless. It is difficult to express the joy my heart feels when immersed in such beauty. The layers are exquisite and that heart frame mold is one of my favorites of yours. I expect to soon get some frame molds because it is too expensive to continually replenish my resin stash... I especially miss my Prima resin heart that looks nearly identical to this! Thank you for the inspiration (and courage) to experiment with molds. And thank you for sharing this soft, delicate, and dreamy creation! I look forward to watching your video and your nature photos are spectacular. Continued love and hugs coming your way, Pamellia! I adore your beautiful heart. :o)

  40. Ok, Pamellia, you have just made an entire beautiful card in the time it would take me to get the backing off the foam strips! Ha! Ha! Gorgous feminine card! I love the clay heart and that ruffled paper edged with your punch. Again, I think I need a lesson in how to get those things to line up for the second and third punch. Lovely blossoms and just a fabulous video to boot! I can't wait to get caught up with all the others I've recently missed! So much good stuff on your blog...so little time!

Love your icy winter shots! Great view you have right there outside your door! I pray your heart is mending, dear! My daughter was crushed when I told her about Diana...we are all grieving with you. Big hugs!

  54. Stunning design. I love watching you create. You are so daring. I would panic at the last details of your project that after all that work the paints you had at the end would ruin it, but you proceed with creative abandonment. The little molded elements add so much detail. You should show us how to do that. Thanks for keeping me company as I drank my second cup of tea.

  56. What an incredible piece of artwork Nature created from a leaky gutter! Thank goodness it was on the outside and not the inside! LOL Hope you end up putting your photos in a creation one day.

On to your card - first thing I thought of was a warm country morning, with a breeze gently fluffing the sheer curtains, with gentle scents of fresh hay and the braying of cows, donkeys and horse neighs! I can even hear the birds greeting me, and the rooster impatiently saying, "Get up sleepy head!" It's a lovely creation, and very VERY feminine! hugs, de

Pamellia, I especially enjoyed watching you crumple the layer with the MS border punch. It appears to be card stock, not text weight. Do you know what weight paper it was? Thanks for taking the time to make the videos. Your library is treasured. Hugs, de
