Thought I would share a few photos from our stop at Lake Simcoe. We were quite disappointed because it turns out that pretty much the entire shoreline is taken up by private home owners, leaving no areas for tourists or even locals to get up to the water. No public fishing docks, swimming holes, or trails to walk. There was a park you had to pay to enter, but for a quick walk along the beach it's just not worth the $40!

We did find this one little marina, but even there, we felt like we were trespassing. It sure was beautiful though and the weather could not have been more perfect. Great place to live, but you wouldn't want to visit. lol

And back on the home front, I've seen my first baby Chickadee. Oh my gosh, this little guy was so freaking tiny! CUTE!!

MR BAGGINS says hello from the railing!

Say hello to MADONNA everyone! Why Madonna for a name, well would you just look at that tail. Tell me that's not a runway, show-offy, boa-ish, vogue kind of tail! Sounds like Madonna to me.

Guess what JUNIOR has discovered? Plants are yummy! Oh yes, that's what he's eyeballing above him in this photo. If the food bowl is empty, he proceeds directly to the planter! Little bugger! lol

And last but not least, the very bizarre looking after dinner shot.

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

  1. Your card is amazing Pamellia - love all the wee tags and photos tucked under the layers, the texture and colours are mind blowing!!
The lake is pretty - so sad the access is so limited :-(
As ever your nature photos are gorgeous - and as for Junior, he's a bit of a worry, eating your plants - what next!

  7. The snow looks great on all your card and this neutral colours are just perfect for it! Wow! The sparkling snowflakes and the frame with the vintage image are fabulous and love the chabchon and the tag with the birds, how lovely are them!! These papers are very beautiful, amazing layers and ribbon!! How many talent you have!!!
Such a wonderful lake, great shots! I think that if there aren't public activities, there are also less pollution and rubbish, and the nature can be preserved better. In Italy where there are tourists, there are also the death of nature... Persons haven't respect for natural places! :(( Sigh! Our free beaches are full of any type of rubbish! And where there are locations and tourist activities the nature is already dead.
How cute is your baby Chickadee!!! Adorable! And such a surprise for Junior knowing that plants are good enought to eat! :D The tail of Madonna is really gorgous! Such a lovely lady she is! :D
Have a great Sunday in your unpolluted nature, far away from human's damages! :D
    Hugs

  8. What a glorious card Pamellia, I love the papers and the wonderful embellishments too, that is a gorgeous little topper too.
More wonderful photos, we have the same sort of problems here in the Highlands where estate owners try to stop walkers from walking in the mountains. I mean who can own a mountain? It's mostly ignored, the Scots have always been rebellious.
    Looks a lovely lake,Kate x

  15. I just love the snowflakes and the beautiful frame, those little birds are delightful too - along with the snow!!

That is a real shame about Lake Simcoe and wow - charging $40 to visit the park is just plain silly, I guess they really don't want visitors! Madonna's tail is truly beautiful. Junior had better watch out, otherwise he will be siting on the naughty step.... Hugs, Anne xx

  25. A wonderful Christmas card Pamellia. The neutral colours look fabulous with the pretty white snowflakes and lace. The frame, bow and little robins are all gorgeous.
What a shame that some people think they are more entitled to Mother Nature's gifts than others. We have the most beautiful coastline here in South West Wales and the coastal walks are free for all to enjoy.
Lovely photos of Mr Baggin's smile and Madonna's extra long tail xx

  32. Another stunner!! Love how you manage to get so much detail onto such a small space .. something I find very difficult to do. I never seem to get enough layers on my cards but you make it look so effortless. The colours are gorgeous and I drool over your 'snow' effects .. gorgeous!! You live in such a beautiful place .. such a shame that there is very little public access to that beautiful Lake. Would be a lovely place to spend the day. Love seeing your sweet little critters again .. always the icing on the cake! hugs xx

  33. What a fantastic card! You've captured the feel and look of winter - perfectly! Without the cold of course. ;) Naughty Jr. Hello Madonna. I get such a kick out of how they straddle railing, branch, chair arm...whatever when they lay down. :):) Oh I love the sky pic. Looks like a storm is brewing. Thanks as ever for sharing. Huhs

  36. Oh Pamellia, excuse me while I fall into the lovely Christmas wonderland you have blessed us with... there are no adequate words to portray the beauty in everything your heart creates. I cannot wait to use these beautiful papers. The frame is gorgeous, your layering is perfection, and I adore the sweet pine branches. The birdie ticket, covered in snowy delight and tucked beneath a majestic snowflake is pure bliss. Oh the inspiration I receive from you, my dear friend!

Oh my, how stunning are your pictures! The marina is perfectly heavenly and your photography is truly enchanting. You capture beauty and sweetness so wonderfully. Gorgeous pictures back home too, of course... you have the happiest of homes, I am certain. You wouldn't be surrounded by so much fluffy love otherwise. :o) Sending tons of love to you and your sweet furry friends!

    Hugs and blessings,
    Karen

  39. Snow Tex and these papers along with the talented hands of Bubbles=priceless and fantabulous design. This may be the card I CASE this year (like the deer one last year). Totally digging the rustic vibe with this one. Kraft paper is on my wish list as well. You do such interesting things with it. Love the texture the snow tex gives and the added sparkle. Your little tikes sure are splendid to watch and Madonna has a fantastically fabulous tail. Her name suits her well. And of course Junior is a riot! Hehe! Hugz to you muffin! ~Doc

  42. Hi Pamellia
Only you can capture festive frosty chic! Another glorious card from the Johnson craft room.
Its a shame when you visit places that are barred for the many in favour of a select few. I did a quick conversion of the $40 to GBP ............... nearly £24 to park! Eeeeeeek! I'd expect lunch and a full valet for that lol! (That's a valet on the car not me hahaha!)
    Best wishes.
