The world is finally starting to look more like autumn up here in Canada, and the temperatures are also finally starting to feel more like autumn too. I don't have much in the way of new photos to share, so I thought I would share some from last year that I never had a chance to show you.

Juvenile Sparrow

Male Cardinal

Red Breasted Nuthatch

Some of my friends from The Shire.

October was a difficult month, as I spent much time remembering some special animal friends that I lost last year in October.

My sweet, handsome little MR SCRUFF. One of the few pure black morph squirrels that I've had the pleasure of meeting. He always put on a show with his hilarious antics, funny faces and odd personality. He was my patio buddy and visited me several times a day to gather treats and say hello. Oh how I miss this little dude.

The most unique wild rabbit I have ever seen. HENRY was a domestic rabbit that was dumped in the woods as a baby, and against all odds, he thrived for years in the wild. He was such a beautiful bunny and always smiled for the camera. I  miss our wonderful encounters!

I think we all remember my amazing little friend BON JOVI. She was the first wild animal that I fell in love with and she was the reason I decided to pick up a proper camera. I so looked forward to my visits to The Shire to see her gorgeous face every day. She was so unique, and had a gentle soul. She was super friendly, and always came running as soon as she saw me. I will never forget her and I will never stop missing her.

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

  15. Hi Pamellia! Soooo sweet card with those birds and the delicate neutral colors! All the white splatters and embellishments make it very fresh and perfect for weddings and anniversaries! Very romantic and lovely!
Adorable photos, you are a very talented photographer! That baby sparrow melts my heart, as well reading your memories of Bon Jovi, Mr Scruff and Henry... It's sad when friends are lost, I understand you...
Today I thought to you, because while I was driving to go at school a little black squirrel as Mr Scruff crossed my road doing fun back-flips. Obviously I braked for let him through quietly... and smiled so much :) Such a lovely surprise! I have never seen a squirrel on my roads near the sea! There are a pine wood in that zone, so I think he was searching for pine nuts. Hope that he has founded a lot :)
Here the weather is still hot, but two days ago there was a strong hailstorm.
    Big hugs!

I am just getting around to some crafting my self. I miss it! We had 2 more grandchildren since May and a lot of my spare time has been helping and enjoying time with them and also going back and forth home to help my parents with health issues that occurred this past summer. I hope to get back into some sort of a routine again as things settle down some. Thanks so much for the sweet comment on my blog and look forward to seeing more of your creations my friend!
