It's been a hectic couple of weeks to start off October, so I haven't had a chance to take a single walk and enjoy the autumn colours yet. The weather has cooled off though and I am entirely thankful for that. Hoping things will settle down a bit now that summer is over... just in time for the holiday craziness to start! lol

For my birds today, this lovely juvenile Red Winged Blackbird...

a gorgeous male Cardinal...

and a sweet sweet Black Capped Chickadee...

"I wants that cookie! Give... it... to... me... I... can... all... most... reach"
~Big Kate~

MY FIRST DEER! Aaaaaaa!
I just love these animals, they are so sweet and adorable! Don't you just want to hug them!

'Oh, thank you kind lady for the peanut, and if you see my kids will you throw them one too!"
~One Eyed Willamina~

"My Mom says it rude to talk with my mouth full, so can we do this later?"
~Tingle~

"Just eat the peanut. There's no human watching you. Everything's gonna be ohhhhhhh kay. Just eat the peanut."
~Butch~

"Would you believe me if I said I was just borrowing it?"
~Mistro~

OK, so I'm not big on bugs, but this photo was a special one for me. I've been experimenting with macro photography for about a year now, and this is my first truly successful shot!! This little bug is smaller than a grain of rice, barely visible to the naked eye! WHAT!?!

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

Such incredible bug in your macro!! Stunning colors and face! :D You have shown him very well!
But my fave are always the furry and feather friends :) What's the fluffy white thing that Mistro has in his hands? Butch makes me laugh because of his "mantra", but he's so cute and sweet :D as well Tingle!!! I just adore seeing their face and eyes!
How fab tail has One Eyed Willamina!! Super fluffy!! And such great photo the the young deer!!! Loooove her! (I think this deer is a female, but I don't know if I'm in right) I Love deers too, they are so sweet!! :D And such cute raccoon is Big Kate! :D Really fun and cute!
Adorable birdies and stunning Red Winged Blackbird, I have never seen one of them!
Enjoy the autumn days before snow and give a mountain of peanuts and biscuits to all your friends before the cold season, please :)
Big hugs dear Pamellia, hope that the faux squirrels are being just to knock at your door ;)

    1. Thank you so much Alice! Mistro has a mouth full of stuffing that originally came out of a pillow. The squirrels kept pulling out the stuffing so I decided to put a cage of stuffing outside for them to take. They use it to build their nests with so they will stay warm during the winter.

I received my package yesterday, wow I was so super excited! I will send you a proper thank you via email soon as I get the chance! Sending hugs my friend :)

    1. Thanks so much Cara! Mistro and Baby Charlie have been very busy collecting stuffing from my cage I set out. Those two are going to have the warmest nests in town this winter!! I have no idea what kind of bug it is. I tried to Google it, but there are just millions of kinds and I didn't even know how to narrow it down!!

  23. Another beautiful layered piece Pamellia, I love the dinky little clothes peg!! Some super snaps here, particularly the colourful little bug and the gorgeous deer. We are blessed here to have a family of six that are always close by. We will see them more now that all the maize around us has been cut for winter fodder. They aren't so nice when they leap out of the hedges as we are riding by though!! Surprise is quite unflappable but our companions quite often aren't!! xx

  24. Stunning work with the Christmas papers - unbelievable dimension and delight. And such delight in the photography too. We have Muntjac deer that hang around our very urban environment, but they're not nearly so attractive as this one. And the birds are fantastic - I saw my first cardinal in real life when I was in the States recently - I was very excited! I can hardly believe that bug - weird! - but I disagree that it's your first successful macro photo - I've always enjoyed them.
