It's time for another wonderful challenge over at Frilly and Funkie! This time around I am your hostess and I have chosen the theme RAISE IT UP. I want to see lots of layers, lots of panels and/or lots of elements on your shabby chic or vintage project, BUT they must be raised up! Whether you choose to use pop dots, foam squares, silicone glue or another means of support make sure they stand tall. One lucky winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to Linda's shop The Funkie Junkie Boutique!
My card is quite thick at almost an inch and a half from the back to to top of the arched belly band. There are 10 layers of paper, 4 double layers of foam pads and a partridge in a pear tree. lol I think I will save this one for hand delivery.
I was really anxious to use some of my new products from Linda's shop, so I decided to just make an all occasion card and keep it handy for whatever I might need it for. The main panel was coloured with Tim Holtz distress ink Dried Marigold and the brand new colour Twisted Citron (LOVE IT)! I stamped the background with my new Wendy Vecchi Vintage Lace background stamp using Ranger Archival ink Coffee.
The fancy framed layer is cut and embossed using Spellbinders Noble Rectangles and the arched belly band is Spellbinders Lonely Heart Strip die. The small bow on the arch is cut from a stretch of Venise lace trim that Linda tucked into my package, isn't is stunning! I used the new Tim Holtz Wildflower stencil and some crackle paste and crackle paint on the tag, but it is mostly covered up now, oops.
The bronze corner, bronze leaves and the filigree focal piece are all from Linda's shop. The tiny rose is from Linda's shop, I dabbed it with Dried Marigold paint and a little Picket Fence to dull the colour down a bit. The flowers are cut from Tattered Florals and the tag is cut from the Tiny Tabs and Tags die set.
The seam binding is coloured with Twisted Citron. The leaves are cut with the Garden Greens die and coloured with Twisted Citron and Peeled Paint. The flower stamens are also from Linda's shop.
All of the following products that I used can be purchased at The Funkie Junkie Boutique
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.
