I hope you all had a great weekend! I have just gotten home yesterday, so I will be around to visit you all today and tomorrow. We had perfect weather while we were up north, and I saw a deer!!!! What a hoot!!! We had a wonderful time, but it's always nice to get home to your own bed. Plus, I really missed my squirrels!! lol
So today I thought I would share a wedding card and tutorial video that I made using products from Canvas Corp Brands. The video is further down, for now, here are some pics.
For this card I used the following products from Canvas Corp Brands:
Black & Ivory Damask paper / Black & Ivory Sonnet Reverse paper
His & Hers on Kraft paper / His & Hers on Ivory paper
His & Hers Sayings on Ivory paper
C-Flute Kraft - corrugated paper
Canvas Fringe / Mini Bags - White
Mini Clothespins- Natural
Tattered Angels - High Impact Paint - White
So here is my video, if anyone would care to have a looksie.

I haven't had a chance to go through my photos from my trip up north, so I thought I would share some pictures from our visit to Belfountain Conservation Area last weekend. A beautiful spot with a waterfalls, a park, lots of trails, a river, some rapids, a beach and some wonderful scenic areas. Today I have pics from just the small lake and fountain in the main park area.
So right at the other end of the park, was the waterfalls, yay!!! And then this amazing rickety bridge to head into the forest for one the trails, but first...
...what could be hidden up these little stairs I wonder?
to be continued. tee hee
And back on the home front, I've been getting more and more visits from one of my favourite birds, the sweet little Downy Woodpeckers.
MR BAGGINS making a funny face at me from the railing, what a funny little dude!
This photograph is a special one that I took for my dear friend and talented crafter Niki of Pawsitively Creative Crafts. She said she wanted to see me feeding the squirrels, so I snapped this shot of CRAZY KAREN eating out of my hand on Friday morning before we left.
I don't show these shots very often because they are quite difficult to take. My camera is just impossible to use with only one hand, so it's very rare to get a shot like this that's actually in focus. Quite a few of the squirrels eat directly from my hands, so I will try to get more shots like this one.

And when I got back yesterday, JUNIOR popped right up from his nap and gave me a look that let me know he was happy to see me. My heart almost melted when he bolted over to the front step and took a veggie right from hand. First time ever!! Maybe he just was hungry, but I like to think that he missed me.
He filled up on Avocados and Carrots, then plopped right down on the step and had a little relax time!! Awwwwwwww, I missed you too little dude!! Bless your little heart!
One last pic today, my token morning coffee shot. I love all my sunrises, but some sure are more unique than others, and this was one of them!!
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

Pamellia, you've made my day in so many ways today! I've spent my entire morning coffee time on just this one post and I couldn't be happier! I love your gorgeous wedding card, especially that white washed dress. How clever to make the card interactive with the pocket and tag; a perfect little touch! Just so many gorgeous layers and details, and watching the video you make it look so easy. I know better! Some happy couple is going to be very happy to receive this! Loved your video and thank you for that!
ReplyDeleteNow onto the photos--I feel as if I've cooled off by 20 degrees! What a magical place! That fountain is just lovely and the waterfalls! That bridge into the dark forest looks intriguing and scary all at the same time (I have bridge phobia).
Great squirrel family photos--yeah a photo of Crazy Karen eating from the palm of your hand! What a shot! Junior is one hot mess! And your coffee shot is beautiful! We've had tremendous thunder storms here the passed few days, and it is finally cooling off to the 90's! Hope you are getting some of that, too!
We saw quite a few deer on our hikes in W VA. (no bear spottings this time, but we saw what looked to be fresh bobcat tracks and bear scat). Of course, I didn't get any photos. Quite a few fawns this time around--so sweet! Hugs for now!
Another stunner of a card Pamellia, beautiful colour palette too. Ah of course Junior missed you!!

ReplyDeleteThis colour combo is very modern yet the way you have adapted it to your fab shabby chic style makes for a wonderful and really chic wedding card. Fab work. Loving those little woodpeckers best of all. Nicola x
ReplyDeleteLove the kraft paper with the pops of black and white and am so excited to see there is a video! Whoot Whoot! Fussing cutting requires some good scissors and I am about to get some today. Your layers and details always make my mouth water and this is no exception Bubbles. Rustic glam wedding card! Awesome sauce and fantabulous!
ReplyDeleteSqueal!!!! That is so utterly adorable to see the picture of him taking the food straight from your hand. I can only imagine how difficult it was to get the shot! Hot diggity happy day! Thanks for trying this. You totally nailed it!!! Hugz to you muffin! ~Doc
Pamellia, my sweet and talented friend, if only I had the words to truly express the inspiration my heart finds in your crafty gift... every visit engulfs me in everything beautiful. This is the most unique wedding card and I love it to bits. The flower is exceptional and I am in awe of the combination of textures and layers. You always find so many ways to add touches of elegance within every sweet facet. Stunning work, my friend. This is something to treasure always. :o)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you had a wonderful time and oh what a burst of extra joy to see more pictures from you. They are spectacular and I am certain your sweet furry friends missed you equally much! Continue to capture the beauty that surrounds you... your heart speaks so magnificently through your photography. :o) Have a lovely day, my friend. Thank you for filling mine with sunshine. :o)
Hugs and blessings,
Karen
I am so pleased to hear that you had a great time up north, of course, you were missed!
ReplyDeleteThis card is amazing and has given me such an inferiority complex .... you will see what I mean! More fabulous papers, but it is really your imagination and talent which turns fab papers into amazing card.
I am constantly impressed by all of the fantastic trails and parks you live within striking distance of. You really could not get much more different to living in the city. You must constantly pinch yourself - especially when the wildlife quite literally live on your doorstep.
Have a great weekend.
Dionne xx
A stunning card xx
ReplyDeleteoooooooo! another gorgeously created, very unusually put together, card. Pamellia, I'm so inspired by the use of the kraft cardstock in this masterpiece, right down to the bride's skin tones! Clever idea, and so fitting to keep the wedding dress prominently noticeable. I also like the way the black essences, shapes, tones (you get the idea LOL) represent the groom. Especially sweet is the organza flower in the middle. It's a wonderful design!
ReplyDeleteSuch an interesting bridge! Did he feel solid to walk across. I am afraid of heights but force myself to look over tall areas so it does not worsen. It's actually improved a bit. I'd like going over that bridge, I think, and hearing the the river below laugh in delight that I would conquer my fear as it cheers me along!
Thanks for sharing your wonderful excursion!
love,
de
WOW absolutely stunnind wedding card love the black and kraft colour combo, fabulous layering and texture definintely one to stand out in the crowd-amazing pics too love the waterfall
