The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers GDT - H is for Hopeful Halloween

Hello Everyone!

Big day on the block as I get to spend the day as a guest designer for THE SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS. If you haven't been over to check this challenge blog out, I highly recommend you do. These gals are not only loaded with talent and creativity but they have such an amazing attitude about crafting and about life.

Our wonderful challenge for the next two weeks is H IS FOR HOPEFUL HALLOWEEN. For this challenge we are giving you the option of either a project to support Breast Cancer Awareness OR a Halloween card...OR a pink Halloween card, whatever floats your boat. Here is my make.

The grey layer was made with a home-made brick stencil and some home-made texture paste. I used several shades of  DecoArt Acrylic paints to get the depth, then dabbed a little Titanium White paint on the top to highlight the raised portions.

The bottom tag was cut from Tim Holtz Bookplates and Tag die and painted with some DecoArt Cherry Blossom paint and then I took the Tim Holtz Worn Lipstick ink pad and dragged it across the tag to get those streaks. The pattern was made with a Prima Paradise stencil and highlighted with a bit of white embossing powder.

I was getting bored with my other flowers, so I thought I would try something new. These were made with my usual Joy Crafts die, but I formed them differently. They kind of look like shabby roses, don't you think? They were coloured with Tim Holtz distress inks Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick as well as some touches of Hero Arts shadow ink Pale Tomato.

The small tag was cut with Tim Holtz Tiny Tags and Tabs and then I used my home-made crackle paint technique to colour it. The stencil on the large tag is Crafter's Workshop and the brick wall die is Crafty Ann.

The Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon was made with a home-made stencil and dabbed with texture paste to make it look more dimensional. The sentiment was done by hand using a Studio G alphabet stamp set and Ranger Archival ink Watering Can.

I am entering my card into the following wonderful challenges!

- Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge Blog - Anything Goes with a twist ADD PINK
- Alphabet Challenge Blog - R for Round or Rectangle (I chose lots of layers of rectangles)
Lauralcraft Dragonfly Dreams Challenge - #10 - Mainly Pink
- DL.Art - Challenge #142 - Breast Cancer Awareness

(As my bloggy friends will tell you, pink is definitely my fav colour! Pink with anything will do just fine!)
- Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog - #117 - Anything Goes
Just Inspirational Challenges - Pink (with inspiration photo)

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.
