It's time for another challenge over at Frilly and Funkie. The very wonderful and talented Jenny is our hostess and she has chosen the theme "BOY OH BOY". She would like you to create a vintage or shabby chic project with a man or boy in mind. Let's see those male themed creations come to life. One lucky winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to Linda's shop The Funkie Junkie Boutique!
I decided to put together a layout/canvas for my Brother and his wife starring their son, my little angel Andrew as the focal point. This will be heading off to the lucky couple in North Carolina very soon.
The background was done with Distress ink sprays Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio, and then some Prima paints in Light Patina and Lime Peel. I stamped some designs with Wendy Vecchi's stamps Vintage Lace and Just Say It.
The angel fountain and the 3d flourishes were made with Prima's new moulds and clay. They were coated with Prima Gesso and dribbled with Light Patina and Lime Peel paints.
The sides were stamped with Graphic 45 Time to Flourish. The fishtail banners were cut from Prima's Salvage District paper collection. The angel was fussy cut from one of the papers. The sentiment is Friendship Words from Sizzix. The flowers are from Petaloo, May Aarts and Wild Orchid Crafts.
I am entering the following wonderful challenges:

OK, so I've decided to just embrace the winter and not think about spring until it's here...a watched pot never boils right!! Just some pics of the snow and ice on my walks.
The snow certainly didn't seem to bother Pumpkin and she seemed to thoroughly enjoy her breakfast in the snow! I bought them a nice new dish to keep their food off the ground and I put a gushy towel down so they don't have to stand on the cold ground. Pumpkin seemed grateful for both.
Mr Scruff on the other hand, was highly annoyed! He kept looking at me as if to say "I SWEAR LADY, IF I FIND OUT YOU HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS...!!!" Either that or he is disappointed about the bowl full of vegetables! ha! So hilarious!
Had me a special visitor. He kept coming and taking sunflower seeds right out of the brand new squirrel bowl I bought. I believe he is a House Sparrow.
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.
Beautiful Pamellia, great colour choice. Hugs Veerle

I have to make sure none of the one thousand squirrels running around here don't see me reading your blog or I'll have a major squirrel revolt on my hands!! The only food they get is the droppings of bird seeds from the feeders and leftover corn the deer and turkeys leave behind ;) Have a great day my friend!! Big hugs :)

What a precious new little nephew you have Pamellia! They will totally cherish your card - it is very very very special. Love the strong, bright colors but I think the touches of black/white just set things off perfectly too. So many elements to see - it's just loaded with love. Smiling looking at your nephew and then grinning looking at Pumpkin and Mr. Scruff. And what a sweet birdie too. YOU have been WAY too busy girl... dear me!!! But I sure love these posts!!! XXj.
ReplyDeletePamelia...oh my goodness! This gift tag for your precious new little nephew is exquisite. I am such a huge fan of your work. You always have such amazing attention to detail and color palettes. I adore your shabby chic style with a touch of vintage. You are truly gifted and I always enjoy much for your kind words you left on my blog. Coming from, that is a huge compliment.
ReplyDeleteIs there anything you can't do dearie? This is awe inspiring and so magical. Love the color palette and the details. I can't wait to get my hands on those molds (just ordered some yesterday) and your use of em are jawdroppingly gorgeous! Your little angel is adorable and captured presciously here. Totes amazeballs and stunning! What kind of clay did you use this time? I'm going to try paper clay and fingers crossed it doesn't shrink like the air dry clay I've tried before. Hugz to you muffin! ~Doc
ReplyDeleteThe Prima clay doesn't shrink much that I could see Doc. However it's not flexible once it's dry, so make sure all your pieces are flat during the drying process. Hope that helps. hugs :)
DeleteWhat a delightful heirloom and treasure this card will be to the lucky couple. Love what you have done and the colours and your so detailed embellishments.
ReplyDeleteOh! those piccies show how cold it is with you Brrrrrr. lucky squirrels don't have to search for food.
