I've had some comments about my videos being difficult to watch because they are too fast, so for this video I have slowed it down from 4x to 3x. It makes the video a bit longer, so I would love some feedback about if you prefer the videos to be shorter or slower. Thanks so much, hope you enjoy.

Card Series 129 - Birthday Wishes (Pion Design)

It's been two weeks and this flu is still hanging around, one of the worst flu bugs I've had in many years. We did get a fresh coating of snow though, yay! I haven't been outside so I will share some photos from my last outing. I do hope everyone else is avoiding this terrible bug!!

This is the first White Breasted Nuthatch that I've seen this year! Welcome little buddy!

A quick update on how Baby Dolly P is doing. Here she is last week eating her high energy breakfast like a good little girl. Her fur is almost completely grown back in now, and she's almost up to the weight she should be. She is full of spirit, and pitter-patters around like a wee ball of energy! My first successful rehabilitation and I am so happy to see her thriving!

Card Series 128 - Autumn Laughter

So I packed up the patio, put away the furniture and took apart the water fountain... then summer came! The temps have shot through the roof and all my planters started growing flowers again, so strange against the trees that have already started turning colour! Nature is a funny thing!

"Nope, I didn't eat the peanuts! "

Whenever I am stressed out or feeling down, I just need to step outside onto my patio. There will always be a sweet little squirrel visitor and a few Sparrows singing their song to cheer me up.

You've all met my handsome little Neddie, but what you can't see in my photos is how amazing he is. He only has a nub of a tail so his balance is not great. He has trouble walking the smaller branches and he walks with a wobble. Despite all his handicaps, he is so strong and resilient. He's shy but seems to trust me, and the way he watches me with such curiosity when I'm outside makes me giggle.

My beautiful Missy, still going strong after her near death experience! She never fails to put on a good show for me and make me smile, bless her sweet heart! ❤❤

I figured since I was onto yellow this week that I would share a macro taken earlier in the summer. Just a yellow flower on a bush somewhere one morning as the sun came up.

Card Series 127 - Light as a Feather

We had a beautiful sunny day yesterday and it melted quite a bit of snow, but by the time the sun went down, the temps had dropped back below zero and the wind was up to 70 km/hr again. Looks like more snow for us this week, so I'm sticking with more snow pictures.

For my birds today I have this sweet little Chickadee, enjoying the day regardless of the snow...

a male Cardinal watching the snow fall with much confusion and frustration...

a stunning European Starling looking downright annoyed at the snow...

... and this beautiful female Mallard Duck who seems to prefer just say to heck with it and have a bath in the snow!
