Pop-Up Snowman Christmas Card

Hello Everyone!

Today I am sharing a fun 3 dimensional, pop-up style card in the shape of a tag. I have used papers from Michael's Craft Store, snowflake die cuts from Penny Black, and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

A little playtime in the Jungle Gym with baby Jessie. I love mornings, they're so curious and cute when they're awake but not quite awake! Lol

Oh my sweet little Dasher! It looks like he will be my last baby of the season, so sad! His eyesight seems to be improving and he is learning to climb and balance now. Don't think less of me if I give him some extra hugs and kisses!! I mean, he's just so darned cute!

Pion Design - Pop-up Christmas Poinsettia

Hello Everyone!

Today I am sharing this tag shaped Christmas card featuring the gorgeous new Pion Design Christmas collection "Let's Be Jolly". I am so in love with all the traditional colours and the stunning festive designs! I have also used a beautiful mistletoe embellishment from Scrapiniec to dress up the front cover.

And a surprise when you open the tag because the inside pops up to make a 3D Christmas card!! I have used some wonderful vintage images from the collection to finish the inside. Thank you to my dear friend Lisa of A Mermaid's Crafts who inspired me to venture into a whole new world of fun with her amazing pop-up cards.

I'm so happy to tell you that I am now completely official and legally able to raise and care for baby wildlife! I will be continuing my studies as I will now enter stage 2, which is the medical side of the training. Meanwhile, I will be sharing the sweet faces that come through the front door of "PJs Wildlife Orphanage" and the stories that come with them!

This is the sweet little Chandler Bing, my very first legal resident ever!! He fell from a tree last Friday during a rainstorm and was picked up my a kind passer-by, who then took him to animal control. Thankfully instead of putting him down, they called me and asked if I would take him...

There's no saying no to this face!!!

He was cold and wet and covered in fly larvae, but a warm bath and some warm snuggly blankets put the life back into him. He's got a great appetite now and he's growing wicked fast!! Sweet boy!

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments and support!

Just Us Girls - Add a Tag

Hello Everyone!

It's time for the second of four Guest Designer spots for the fabulous challenge blog Just Us Girls! This week is Trend Week and the theme is ADD A TAG. I decided to squeeze one last Valentine's project in and do a shabby chic romantic tag with a darker tone.

The papers I used are all from Maja Design. I used the Vintage Autumn Basics and Vintage Spring Basics. The doily die is Prima Crochet Doily, the leaves are Cheery Lynn Flourish 14, the frame is from the Sizzix Tag and Bookplate die set, the tags were cut using Sizzix Thinlets Tag Collection and the flowers were cut using the Sizzix Large Floral punch.

The pearl strands, the stunning flower stamens, the beautiful wooden heart in the center and the gorgeous laces were all sent to me by a very lovely and sweet friend SILJE KRISTIN of Mitt Lille Papirverksted.  Kristin is one heck of an inspiration, you should take a minute and visit her blog so you can see her amazing talent! Kristin is a member of the Maja Design team, so I thought this would be the perfect time to say thank you to her for the wonderful gift package she sent me. Thanks Kristin!!

I distressed all of the edges of the panels and inked them up with Distress ink Gathered Twigs. The flowers were also coloured with Gathered Twigs. I dabbed a little white paint on everything for that little extra shabby appeal.

Would you believe me if I said we got some snow? No, I don't blame you, I barely believe it myself! It's not a lot, but it at least it feels a bit more like winter around here, because I gotta tell you Miss Mother Nature, if you aren't going to give me my winter, then I demand you go straight to spring and give me back my leaves!!

Big surprise, some more night photography shots. First up...this creepy looking spot at the top of the hill. Cemetery perhaps? I'm so checking this out when it's NOT prime zombie season!

Practising with my zoom lens...getting a little better, but still needs work. I gotta say that working with this lens is a bit like trying to shave your legs with your TEETH! Awkward!

Next up, THE GOLDEN TREE!! These shots have not been altered in any way, this is how this tree looked as I was walking along the path...a big Golden tree in the middle of all the darkness!

I only have one thing to say about this next image...PARENTING FAIL!!!

A little snow sure doesn't seem to bother Bob the Spaz...

...or my good friend Barry. They just keep coming, no matter the weather!! Bless their little hearts!

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.

Try it on Tuesday - Gift Bags or Boxes

Hello Everyone!

It's time to start another challenge over at Try it on Tuesday. This time around our theme is "GIFT BAGS OR BOXES". What you make is up to you, as long as we can see a bag or a box. It can be either 3D or images, but the theme should be the focus on your entry. I hope you will join in with us for this fun challenge.

Every year I come up with a new way to decorate my gifts for the family. This year I have decided to decorate little bags with tags to attach to the front of the presents. I have this wonderful package of glassine bags I found while I was packing, so I decided to put them to good use. I hope you enjoy my little Christmas Tag Bags!

Well it has been getting very cold recently and so my walks have been reduced to a minimum until I can purchase myself some sort of winter coat!! So I've been stuck inside this week, but apparently Mother Nature felt my sadness and sent some nature to keep me company!

This is Rocky. He was hiding away from the cold winds by crawling up in between my patio cushions. I feel bad to have to put the cushions away in the shed, but it's going to snow soon, so Rocky is going to need a back up plan for the rest of the winter. He apparently loves the view as much as I do, can't blame him for that!!

We had our first snowfall of the year on Saturday and although it pretty much melted before it hit the ground, it was an absolute thrill for me!! My hubby and I started our first fire in the fireplace and we were in heaven!! I've never had a fireplace before and I am completely addicted now! When we woke up Sunday morning the sky was just as pink as all get out! Oh what a glorious weekend!

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.
