I can't believe it, less than a week until Christmas, so fun!! Another Christmas card today, this one was put together using products from Michael's Craft Store and Recollections.
Michael's Craft Store supplies: Recollections JOY wood embellishment, wedding flowers, My Mind's Eye Christmas paper pad, Candy Cane baker's twine, Recollections Kaleidoscope embossing powder and iridescent sheer organza ribbon.
MACRO GLITTER SHOT!! FUN!!
***
The snow continues to fall here at Lake Aquitaine and I couldn't be happier, although some rain yesterday melted quite a bit, but that's ok. For my landscape shot today, two seasons collide with some snow covered berries.
As the seasons change, so does the wildlife. These gorgeous Starlings have started to visit and I am thrilled! They have iridescent feathers, so sometimes they look blue, brown or even green!
"Kindness can reach the deepest call of the heart and soul,
and lead to a different kind of world and self"
~ Jean Maalouf ~
My token Cardinal shot... coming in for a landing!
A graceful Seagull trying to find a safe place on the lake to land...
The squirrels are having a hard time out there. Yesterday I watched as Crystal fell off of a slippery branch, headfirst into a snowbank. She wasn't moving! I dropped the camera and ran outside! Thankfully she wasn't hurt, but I realized in that moment... it's going to be a long winter!
"I'm so annoyed! Do I look annoyed? I'm pretty frickin' annoyed!"
"I think if I run really fast, I can outrun the cold!!"
"Omg, is there snow on my face! Get it off! Get it off!"
Last but not least, my macro for the day is a chunk of ice in the morning sun!
Hey Sara Emily, how about this for rock candy!! lol

Wonderful, wintry card and gorgeous photos. I was out feeding the ducks at the Rhine today, and they were very eager to be first to get the food, it was fun watching them- Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteTotally gorgeous hun, stunning design,...... omg you did make me laugh with your squirrel tale of the snow on her face, loving your bird photo's again, we put out bird feed in winter too, don't get beautiful coloured birds like you get though, a Robins about our most colourful in winter, lol Enjoy your Christmas and Happy New Year hunny xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, love the candy cane colour combo and the sweet little striped elements! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteWe always feed the winter birds, we have a resident robin who is fun to watch, don't encourage squirrels into the garden though as worried my large and bouncy dog might get them!!!

Red and white...snow and dimension..a perfect Christmas card Pamellia..just beautiful..Being in Summer our birds are well stocked with flying insects and crawlng bugs..but I do line up snails from the garen and watch and all the Thrushes come out of hiding and get them..then leave the sharp shells along the path for me to stand on...but that's okay, I just have to remember to put shoes on..lol..
ReplyDeleteLuv CHRISSYxx

Great card and love the Starling!
ReplyDeleteAnother real beauty and stunning photos! xxx
ReplyDeleteNothing says Christmas to me quite like red and white - your card is heart achingly beautiful Pamellia - to me you are the Master (or Mistress should I say) of cardmaking, the elements you add are always perfection, your layers are always perfect and the design always stunning!
ReplyDeleteThe berries in the snow look truly beautiful, I love the gently falling snow in the background. I am so glad to hear that Crystal was OK, it just shows how slippery it was if her amazing claws could not hold on! The Starling shot is a delight, as is your wonderful macro shot! Big hugs, Anne xxx
Love the pops of red in your beautiful card and the berries ... noticing nature and its wonders are a delight to me. Of course the wings ready for flight or landing made me smile too. I am wondering on the last photo what this tree is called. My aunt game me a some rounded cones. I've never known what they were from. Have the last few days before the big event be Merry, Merry.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Sylvia. The last image isn't a tree, it's a very annoying burr weed that sticks to everything!! lol. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too! hugs :)
DeleteAhhhh - so "Christmas" to me - the red and white and glitz! Love the micro glitter shot and how perfectly it matches the colors in the ribbon. What a beautiful card - wow.
ReplyDeleteAnd that 'rock candy' micro is the most incredible photo EVER - I am just awed that you captured something like that Pamellia. All the photos are just a completely wonderful treat. Your posts always make my day.

Fabulous card Pamellia and I LOVE your shots!! The starling one is fantastic, but they all are. You really have mastered nature photography! I would love to have that snow here!! Nicola x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Pamellia, we do not have Michael's here and I get so jealous of the lovely things people buy from there but, on the other hand, perhaps it is just as well because I think I would be very broke after every visit. The wood embellishments are gorgeous and I love your hat pins, so pretty. Beautiful roses and berries too.
ReplyDeleteTalking of beautiful, your photos of your woodland friends are just stunning today and I adore the shot of the snow on the berries - it looks as if it should be on a calendar.
Dionne xx

ReplyDeleteSpeaking of perfect...what amazing things you are doing for Michaels and their Recollections line! They were so smart to scoop you up to demo their products, because I'd never think of these creations in a zillion years! Love the layers of papers, laces, shabby bow, SNOW!, and that Joy chippie! I haven't seen that one! I have a pile of these I picked up at oh-so-low-prices, and now you have given me plenty of inspiration! Gorgeous card! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your photography! Pamellia! Your card reminds me of the bowl of peppermint puffs I have sitting behind me!! Yummy!!
ReplyDeleteI really don't know if you take my comments about your photography seriously, But Pammie girl...You absolutely have it down! That berry shot is fantastic and out of this world! What a lovely greeting card it would be if not totally framed and hanging in my house!
Your squirrels, birds and the "rock candy", well, I hope you know how I feel about this now!
