What an exciting week I have had. Among the things I did were visiting the Twin Valley Zoo where I saw baby Lemurs, visiting Niagara Falls and enjoying the view, visiting the Bird Kingdom where I saw so many fantastic birds, and last but not least, I helped save the life of a wee baby bird (follow that story on Facebook).
I hope to share some the photos with you once I have had a chance to sift through the kajillion shots I took, but for now here is a shot of the falls, so beautiful there!
Much like the Cardinals, my Blue Jays seem to disappear in the summer time. I saw this beauty a couple of weeks ago, but not a one since. I've hung some new feeders on the new patio, so here's hoping some of these gorgeous birds will come my way!
How excited am I to have spotted another brand new bird! This darling little Golden Crowned Kinglet was a real bugger to get a pic of, but it was totally worth the wait!
So I hold out some peanuts to feed a Chickadee and look who lands on my hand, a Red Winged Blackbird! I've never seen this before! I completely froze for a second, thank gawd I had my camera at the ready! What an amazing experience!
A handsome Goose having a bath...
Hey Daisy, come on down! You're the next contestant on "The Peanut is Right"!
"DOES ANYBODY HAVE A COMB I CAN BORROW!"
~Mistro~
"The human says I have my Mom's smile, I love that!"
~Baby Kay~
For my macro today, a tiny yellow flower cluster...
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.
Again, wonderful pics and a gorgeous card. I loved Niagara Falls when I visited there over 10 years ago, xxx

Such a beautiful reminder, Pamellia, that sometimes we just need to let a little "fresh air" lift the sails of our dreams! No air, no lift, no power! I needed that today, especially. Gorgeous photographs to go with your gorgeous card. Wishing you a delightfully air-filled day! xx
ReplyDeleteOh wow, what a stunning card, Pamellia!! I just love the papers and you showcase them to perfection!! The layers are amazing!! The texture you added with the sissal and twine is spectacular!! I absolutely love, love this!! So gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteIt's been years since I've been to Niagara Falls!! What a gorgeous pic!! I would love to send you some Blue Jays...they never leave here, are quite loud and obnoxious, and eat all of the cat food!! But they are beautiful :) Your shots are all amazing, especially sweet Baby Kay and that adorable smile!! I can't believe a red winged blackbird landed on your hand!! What an amazing shot that is!! My hand would have been shaking!! Your macro is stunning, too!! I can't wait to see more pics of your trip!! Hi Pamellia,
ReplyDeleteanother of your stunnig and super creations with those wonderful papers.
Love everything you have used to create this super and gorgeous creation.
As always you photos are so very great and a pleasure to look at.
I love those close ups of your feathered and furry friends.
I had a squirrel in my garden last week feeding on the brid seed as I have ventured to feeding them again and blow the pesky rats that may also appear.
I get a lot of Doves and Wood Pigeons too, and some times magpies also.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Stunning card, love those little water droplets. Beautiful wildlife photos, as usual your squirrel captions cracked me up!

This is such a great masculine card Pamellia and perfect for a summer birthday. The papers work so well for men and women too. How great to visit the Niagara falls..cool photo. Take care, hugs xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat FABulous papers and soft colours Pamellia and a gorgeous card with all those layers..and isn't Baby Kay so sweet..
ReplyDeleteLuv CHRISSYxx
Such a gorgeous card using those beautiful papers, you really captured the feel of the sea using them. Stunning photos as always and I love reading your snippets about each one and how incredible that the blackbird landed on your hand to take a peanut. TFS xxx
ReplyDeleteOh! what a real joy to visit you, your card is really beautiful, I love the blues and browns the shapes, the details, the layers - everything. I admire it more as shabby chic is something I LOVE, but can never do, it looks scruffy in my hands LOL. I could see this centre stage in a posh seaside town shop and costing a fortune, well worth it though.
ReplyDeleteYour photos, what more can I say? they really should be published, I would love a book of them on my coffee table. What a delight to see a different (to me) blackbird feed out of your hands, WOW! you must have enormous patience. FABULOUS photos, could the yellow flower be a Forsythia? We visited the falls in 1974, it's a memory which always gives us delight in talking about.

Dear Pamellia, so sorry to be late...it's been almost a week that I've been trying to get over to see this masterpiece of a sea themed shabby card! I love those papers and you make them SHINE with your neverending creativity and delicate, feminine style! As always, I love taking in every single detail!
ReplyDeleteAnd your photos are amazing as always, but I don't ever want to take them for granted. I love the captioned ones and Baby Kay is sweet as southern sweet tea! Love the one of Mistro--Ha! Ha! As for your bird shots, I just never tire of seeing and reading about those fabulous creatures! I'm happy you are taking time to do things other than crafting, although I love getting to see what you make. What a stunning view of the falls! Can't wait to see photos of the zoo, too! Good for you to save that baby bird's life! Guess I'll see if FB will load for me! Sending hugs!
Oh Pam, I definitely love your beautiful card💗 However, the wildlife pictures you take, just make so happy! You make me laugh when I read the narratives that go along with your pictures 😍 You take some awesome pictures too! I've been attempting to learn watercolor and I'd love to use some of your photos if you wouldn't mind? It's amazing how you get the pictures of the birds, I'm sure you must have patience to get one! I'm so very happy that you do because I love seeing them ❤️ Thanks Pam for sharing them!

I thought I'd already commented on this - maybe I saw it at Pion? - but you can probably already guess that the colour palette of these papers is right up my street. I love the banner edges, and the fabulous wooden planks in the background - another glorious card creation. I'm in love with the Blue Jay, and the macro is fantastic this week too.
