I've been such a bag bloggy friend lately and I do apologize. With summer, comes so many outdoor activities and I find my computer time seems to take a back seat. My squirrel nursery is currently empty, so my need to be indoors is non-existent and now that my patio is completely set up, I am such a lazy face with doing indoor things. lol

For my birds today, a gorgeous Blue Jay...

and a handsome Sparrow...

The Goslings enjoying a little run off water from a neighbour's sprinkler...

"Is this for me? The whole thing! I am at a complete loss for words!"
~a trail friend~

SLEEPING BABY SQUIRREL!!!!!!!!!

"I don't think there's any rule against playing in the puddle, is there?"
~a trail friend~

A macro today of a drop of dew on a budding dandelion.
The morning sun makes everything look so magical!

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

Pion Design - Father's Day

Hi Everyone!

There's been a lot of pastels and pearls around here recently, so I thought I would throw another masculine card into the mix. This Father's Day card was made for Pion Design using the new Mister Tom's Treasures paper collection.

Mister Tom's Treasures - Tom's Motorcycle PD7401
Mister Tom's Treasures - Morning Glory PD7404
Mister Tom's Treasures - Old Factory PD7405
Mister Tom's Treasures - Tom's Garden PD7407
Mister Tom's Treasures - Borders PD7410
Mister Tom's Treasures - Memory Notes PD7411
Mister Tom's Treasures - Tags PD7412

The notepaper design was made with an EK Success punch, the wood sentiment is from Recollections, the paper gears were cut with a Cheery Lynn die set, the metal gears are from The Funkie Junkie Boutique and the large cardboard gears were a gift from my friend Cec. Everything else is from my stash.

UPDATE:
My card won awards in the following wonderful challenges:

The other day, my good friend Sara asked a question about squirrels. Who would have ever thought I would be a person to know the answer, HA!! She was wondering about squirrel behaviour and asked if I had ever seen squirrels doing some crazy flips and rolling around on the ground.

I have decided to answer her with photos...THIS IS FOR YOU SARA EMILY.

First - a polite introduction...

Then some friendly grooming to break the ice...

Down the railing we go and start goofing off like little kids!

Now I know what you're thinking...WHY IS PAMELLIA SHOWING US SQUIRREL PORN!!
I assure you, that is not what they are doing, otherwise...EXPLAIN THIS...
THE OLD SWITCHEROO! lol

So the answer to your question Sara Emily, is this. It is not only completely normal for squirrels to play and wrestle around just like kids, but it's an absolute delight to watch and I look forward to play time in the early evenings.

Would you like to know what's NOT normal...
TAKING A NAP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD!!

LAYING IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR FOOD!!

WALKING ACROSS THE TOP OF SKY HIGH BUSHES!!

DIVING HEAD FIRST INTO A PLANTER!!
(don't worry, the plant is now hanging safely up on the siding)

DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THIS NEXT ACTIVITY!!
It's a good thing your so cute DeeDee!

That's a lot of squirrels for one day, think I should throw in a token after dinner shot, a bird shot and maybe a shot of the lake during the day too, just for good measure.

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.
