Divas by Design GDT - Texture - My Crocheted Snowflake!

Hello Everyone!

It's time for another challenge at Divas by Design! This week the challenge is TEXTURE! So you could have some embossing, fabric, flowers, ribbons anything that adds a bit of texture to your creations.

Here is my make.

The large sentiment is from Tina Wenke and is stamped on a Nellie Snellie tag. The small sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and is fussy cut. Both sentiments were stamped using Ranger Archival Coffee ink.

For the background I stamped a Stampendous Christmas background stamp onto Kraft card stock, then used my Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder to make the texture. I lightly brushed my VersaMark pad across the surface and then added some embossing puffs to give it extra texture and make it look snowy.

I distressed all of the layers and edged them with Tim Holtz distress ink Gathered Twigs.

This is my very first ever crocheted snowflake!! It took me a few tries before I got one that looked descent, but it was worth it! Here is the link to the Youtube Video, if anyone wants to give it a go.

As you can see, once again, my card has been attacked by a Krylon gold leafing pen! I really can't seem to put this thing down!! I used it to edge all of the shabby layers and highlight my acrylic snowflake centrepiece.

The dies peeking out from under the snowflake are Marianne Designs Pine Branch, Simon Says Stamp Eliza Snowflake and Memory Box Elegant Scroll.

I am entering my card into the following wonderful challenges:

- Allsorts Challenge Blog - Week 280 - Cream and Brown
- Inky Chicks - Challenge #40 - Christmas
- Oldie But A Goodie Challenge - Christmas
(My Cuttlebug embossing folder is one of the first ones that I ever bought - still love it though)

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.
