Vintage Peach Mother's Day

Hello Everyone!

Today I am sharing a Mother's Day card made with some older Pion Design papers and a sheet of peach paper from a Recollections paper pad. I bought a whole paper pad for 2 sheets of soft toned peach paper, how desperate am I!! lol

The image is from Pion Design, the flowers are Sweetheart Blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts. the sentiment is stamped with a Hero Arts stamp, the ribbon was hand dyed using Distress inks, and everything else is from my stash.

So on Thursday it started snowing... and it snowed, and it snowed, and the wind was incredible! And then it started raining, and then it froze!! IN APRIL!! I don't think that the wildlife was very impressed at all!

So it started like this...

and and now it's like this...

a male Cardinal taking it in stride...

a Nuthatch looking mighty annoyed...

a little friend looking down on the world that was dry and warm just a few days ago...

another little friend trying to shelter himself from the bitter wind...

As for me, I spent the weekend watching cars get stuck in the frozen slush, feeding the birds and squirrels on the patio that were taking refuge from the falling ice pellets, drinking baileys, watching Army Wives, and adding log after log to the fire! What a weekend! I hope you all had better weather than that! Hugs for today.

What is up with Mother Nature?? Your pictures are beautiful!! I love the one of the pine needles encased in ice!! And oh, that poor little furry guy trying to take cover from the wind!! We've had snow, freezing temps and ice. I feel like winter never ended and I'm so ready for spring!! I hope you have a wonderful week, my friend!! Big hugs :)

  3. I can't tell you how much I love, love, love this card, Pamellia (and I'm not a peach person)!! It is fabulous! We've had weather extremes this past week with cool to very warm to very chilly. We had extremely heavy rain yesterday which brought in more chilly weather.
