And now for some really exciting personal news!! My hubby and I got the word this week that the little garden home outside the city that we have had our eye on, is all ours!!!!
I was raised in a small town and city life just isn't for me. All these years in the city have really taken a toll on me, so I can't even tell you how excited I am at the prospect of getting out of this concrete nightmare and moving to a place with a little bit of nature. It's so peaceful and serene there, I thought I would show you a few pics of my little oasis.
This is the walkway behind our unit...
This is the view from the side of our unit...
It's literally close enough to spit into the lake...

I do have some posts for my Design Team projects that need to go up, but I may not be around for all them. I will do my best to check in on everyone when I can. We expect to be without internet entirely for 3 weeks from mid September, so I won't be answering any emails either, I apologize in advance if I miss any questions that you may send me. Moving day is on October 1st, so I hope to be back in full force by mid October. Until then, I wish everyone the most amazing summer!!
Big hugs,
Looks like a wonderful place to live in, I am happy for you that you have found somewhere so lovely. But don't go spitting in that lake, will you! Hugs, Valerie

Woohoo Pamellia, your new home sounds wonderful and the surroundings are idyllic. I grew up in Goderich, Ontario, right on Lake Huron and I still need to live in a small town (village) near water so I can really understand your decision. Hi Pamellia
ReplyDeleteJeepers, when I saw the first photo, I thought you were so desperate to move you'd staked claim on a park bench lol!
So glad you're getting to move to a bit of scenery and greenery. A nice spot to take your girls for a walk too.
Exciting times for you so everything crossed for a smooth move.
With all good wishes.

Oh Pamellia, I am so happy for you, it looks a beautiful serene place. I do know how you feel, I have been unhappy where we are, its a horrible area and I would love to move out of Essex completely but hubby was born here and refuses to move, I have told him I'm gone within the next 5 years with or without him lol! He does not seem bothered. I prefer the country or somewhere nicer nearer the beach. I would love to move near my Daughter in Cornwall, I can dream and keep hoping lol! Your new place will keep your crafty energies flowing in triple lol! Great views to have .
ReplyDeleteI wish you well with the move and hope you are back on line real soon.
Love & hugs

Oh my Pamellia!! Congratulations !!
ReplyDeleteI understand your need to get out of the city- I am so glad we did it when we had the chance!! Your scenes look so lovely and relaxing! And a spit away? Fab!! I will look for you again in October- till then good luck with the move and all and try and stay stress free!! xoxo
Looks so good Pamellia - good for both of you hun! We lived in London for about five years and I have to say I hated it. Did it because that was where hubby needed to be but so happy we finally got away from there 20 years ago now and I so could not go back. In fact I am hoping that in the next year or so we will go more rural in the middle of the country and be nearer to my family, mum moved a couple of months ago but I really miss her and my brother - they are a couple of hours away now and it's breaking my heart.
ReplyDeleteGo get ready, take your time because it's exhausting but will be worth it in the end. Don't worry about visiting me until you are back up and running in October - it looks so beautiful where you will be going and you'll love it! Karen xx
What wonderful news Pamellia, I am so excited for you. I hope the move goes well and your babies quickly settle into their new home. I am sure you are going to be very happy there and I am already looking forward to reading all about it.
ReplyDeleteDionne xx

ReplyDeleteCongrats to you- hope you love your new digs! I love the quiet country setting, but my allergies would be awful!
ReplyDeleteDouble congrats Pamellia!! Delighted for you on a new DT role and super thrilled for you to have a home that you love. What an exciting year this is for you with success on so many fronts. Your new views look wonderful, looking at nature is vital for mind and body imho. Maybe tho you should feed those duckies rather than go spitting!!! So pleased for you with all this great news. Congrats to the winners too. Nicola x
ReplyDeleteOooh a big congrats Pamelia...I know just what you mean when you say you dislike the concrete jungle. Though we stay in a metro I am lucky to have a home far enough from the city buzz to have a small garden and have wild birds and squirrels visit me!

ReplyDeleteYour creations are just amazing. I'm sorry that you are no longer part of our team at CCM but wish you well in all of your new ventures. I'm sorry that I haven't been by for a while but things have been more than a little hectic here and I have struggled to get back in the groove.
Please make sure that you let me have your new address.
Good luck with everything and ~~I# will try and stop by again soon.
