For my landscape photo today, I have a moody morning scene at the bridge beside the house.

A photo from the Fall Festival

Out in The Shire, 'MR BLACK' and BON JOVI are enjoying a play in the leaves.

HENRY is concerned that his salad is turning brown!!

and this sweet female Cardinal pretends she DOESN'T look like a chicken!!!!!

Back on the home front, something a little special for the occasion today. Does everyone remember the Haunted House that I made out of pizza boxes a couple of years ago? Well my good friend Niki of Pawsitively Creative Crafts suggested I grab some shots of Nemo checking out the house. Great idea Doc!!

Last but not least, my macro for today.

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

Pion Design - New Baby

Hello Everyone!

I'm back again today with another example of how the Pion Design papers can be used all year round and not just for the holiday they were themed for. I have put together this New Baby card using papers from the Halloween collection - The Witching Hour, and the Christmas collection "Greetings From the North Pole".

The weather has been getting a little cooler, which I am very grateful for. I am one of those rare people who much prefers winter over summer, I hate being hot!! lol. Anyway, got a lovely sky shot not too long ago, sort of a dark gloomy day, but it was beautiful out all the same.

And out in The Shire, there are lots of friends posing for the camera. This first one I called "I'm so Happy" and it was my first photograph to ever be featured in an online gallery. Such an honour!!

"I'm telling you human, in a stare down, I win EVERY time!"

HENRY having a touch of salad...

BON JOVI looking as handsome as ever, eating his breakfast in the dew dropped covered grass.

My birds for today are this striking Starling and a beautiful Blue Jay trying to figure out if he can fit another peanut in his mouth!

Back on the home front, MR SCRUFF is foraging for the winter season and asking ever so politely for another handful of nuts.

PATRICIA sizes me up from the safety of the tree, as she often does before braving the trip to the balcony. Sweet thing, she makes me laugh!

And last but not least, my macro for the day is this mushroom pic. These were super tiny, less than an inch tall. Is it just me or do they look like they're covered in crystal glitter?

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

Pion Design - A Joyful Birthday

Hello Everyone!

Today I thought I would share with you a birthday card I have put together using the new Pion Design Halloween collection - The Witching Hour. One of the things I love about Pion papers, is that they can be used year round for any occasion and not just the holiday they were designed for!

Pion Products: THE WITCHING HOUR

The Witching Hour – Spider’s Web – PD8006
The Witching Hour – Midnight Spell PD8004
The Witching Hour – Dark Roses PD8009
The Witching Hour – Borders PD8011
Pion Design Palette – Pion Green I PD6107

The pretty white frame is from Spellbinders, a gift from my lovely hubby! The Spellbinders butterfly cascade, the Tim Holtz sentiment die cut and the Wild Orchid Flowers are all from The Funkie Junkie. The Chloe Stem is Memory Box, the leaves are Cheery Lynn, everything else is from my stash.

I'm so excited to tell you the news that Pion Design is getting ready to release their next collection "Where the Roses Grow", a collection inspired by an untamed flourishing rose garden! This may be one of my favourites to date! I am tickled pink and green and can't wait to create with these gorgeous papers!!

I'm steering away from landscape photography as I have found I much more enjoy photographing things up close, but I thought I would share this image I captured a few weeks ago in The Shire as the sun came up and started peeking through the trees.

"Found a peee-nut, found a peeeanut, found a peeeanut laaast night!! Laaast night I found a peeeanut, found a peeeanut laaast night! -  Sing it with me!"

"Pwetty Pwetty pwease, may I have a peanut? I'm so tiny and cute and berry berry hungwy"

I always stop to give my sweet Miss Chrissy a treat on the trail to The Shire.

Don't forget to say Hello to Bon Jovi if you visit The Shire, he is always hiding in there somewhere!

This is Henry, a white rabbit that lives out in The Shire. Locals say they think he is a domestic rabbit was dumped here as a baby, and incredibly has managed to survive and thrive for several years now. Animals are remarkable, don't you think!!

My bird photos for today are a sunbathing Sparrow and a sweet female Mallard at the lake.

And at the home front, my dear MR SCRUFF is having a wee treat.

My Macro shot of the day is some rainy day leaves. We are finally getting all the rain that we should have had in the spring. Too late to save the leaves from dying before they got a chance to turn their brilliant autumn hues, I'll still take it though! lol

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.
