"Hmmm, spring is kind of windy!"
~Mr Nuthatch~

I know spring is definitely here when the Robins arrive!
Can't wait for Robin baby season, my favourite!

"Excuse me!! I'm trying to say something here!!!"
~Gosling~

"I don't know who you are human, but anyone who brings me treats is welcome back any time!"
~a new trail friend~

"Any chance I could get you to drop the bag of peanuts and back away!"
~another new trail friend~

"Alright now, how am I supposed to concentrate on eating my lunch when this wind is blowing my ears off!"
~yet another new trail friend~
...
So many new faces this spring! Guess I'll have to name a few of them!

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

Laces and Lilac for Mom

Hello Everyone!

Today I am sharing another Mother's Day card with you. This one was made with papers from Lemoncraft and Pion Design. I think my new favourite colour may be purple!!

I have really enjoyed being back out on my walks again! I saw so many wonderful things this week, and the grass is starting to turn a bright green! Now if I could just get the nurseries to open so I could set up my patio and get this summer started!!

A Blue Jay...

Did you know that the Starling gradually loses the white tips of their feathers as we head into summer, and they are a dark iridescent black until next autumn? It's nature amazing!!

Look Ma, one foot!! ~cute little gosling~

"Errrrrrrrr, are you looking at me? You can see me? Even in all this grass, dang!"
~a trail friend~

"Why do they always have to put the branches so far apart! Don't they know how little I am!"
~my new red-headed friend~

I would like everyone to meet a very special new friend of mine. I have named him Dale and he is a really unique little fellow! He has orange fur like a mohawk that extends from the top of his head right down to his tail! Even his skin is two different colours! He's molting right now, so I'm looking forward to seeing him with a full coat of fur!

Am I crazy, or this guy possibly a relative of my beloved Bon Jovi?

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

Prima - Vintage Birthday Roses

Hello Everyone!

Today I am sharing this feminine birthday card featuring papers from Prima collection "Tales of You & Me" and Pion Design collection "Linnaeus Botanical Journal".

Guess what everyone, I finally went out for a walk!! I strapped on my new hiking shoes and off I went. I stepped in some mud and my new shoes don't look new anymore, but that's another story!! lol. I had forgotten how pretty these reeds can be when they're all wispy!

A male Cardinal sitting up in the tree waiting for a hand out...

and a female Cardinal taking advantage of the food I threw on the ground...
(this photo is from last year, but I thought it went well with the male shot. lol)

This was my reward for finally getting off my butt and heading to the lake... BABY GEESE!! There are seven goslings this year, and the cuteness level is off the charts!

OK, so this photo is also from last year, but it's still a beautiful shot of The General!

"Wait! Is that the peanut lady I see! Thank goodness! I have babies to feed!"
~a new trail friend~
