I would like to say Thank You to everyone for all of the wonderful congratulation messages here and on the Anything But Cute Blog yesterday. It was just such a warm welcome, I really appreciate it so much!
Today I'm here to share my take on Tim's 12 Tags of 2015 - April.
In my book, this is CAS! It took great restraint not to add about a billion other things to my card, but what the heck...it was fun building these 3d flowers. I won't go into any details of how I put this together, I will just direct you to check out all the techniques from the master himself. I followed his instructions pretty close to the letter with the exception of the 3D flowers and the die set used for the words.
I would like to take a minute to apologize for the absolute wonky zigzag stitching on my tags! My sewing machine was being a real bee-yatch!! I ended up pulling out some of the stitches and drawing them in with a Sharpie! What's that about!! lol

One last bit of news I would like to share with you. Can you believe that!! I was blown away and really honoured!

Your CAS is rather like mine Pamellia, it's so difficult to cut to the base bones. Your rags are a delight and I especially love the yellow flower and it's dimension.

Wow, Pamellia! You have completely rocked this month's tag! Even though it is a complete CAS, you've made these 2 tags completely your own, but making them into a card!!! (Truth be told, I couldn't wait to see your angle on this month's tag, and I'm completely surprised (I love surprises!) and totally impressed!) Ok, so that's 3 times I've used that word, but who's counting?? I love your 3d flowers and the beautiful coloring you have done on them. Your Sharpie sewing looks like the real deal! I have never met a sewing machine that isn't a real be-atch!
ReplyDeleteHuge congratulations on getting published. I have that treat to check out after I get home from work! Huge hugs on a fabulous job, my friend! And so proud of you on being published!
WOW WOW WOW, those flowers are just beautiful the 3D of them makes them look real and Sharpies for stitching? who would have guessed? This is another that could be framed, I just love love love everyhting you do. Told you you could write a book! DecorArt saw that and did it for you - well part of it LOL. Congratulations and so well done. (have you told them to correct your so beautiful original name?)
ReplyDeleteHeheheh - well, had to look up what CAS meant in the card making dictionary! Clean and Simple - so it says! You are right Pamellia - for you - it's CAS but dear me... those flowers do not look "simple" to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are WONDERFUL. I just love them. So perfect. j.

ReplyDeleteYour tags are superb Pamellia - you can adapt to any style brilliantly. Like your word cutouts and those flowers are gorgeously layered up. Your deliberate and intended (sshhh!) use of the sharpie works perfectly.
ReplyDeleteYou sure are on a fantastic roll of success and I'm truly delighted for you. You are putting your heart, soul and so much of your lovely talented self into your creations and into blogland so your recognition is uber well deserved. Maybe the lovely peeps at Decorart could edit your name tho?

I had to laugh Pamellia, bet it was killing you to make a card without the extra but it is a lovely card and sometimes CAS is enough.
ReplyDeleteIf you look at a card and you feel something's missing then fine add more but I look at this and it's perfect!!!
