Today I have a special post for you, as I am here to share the adventures I had with Paloma the Peace Dove. Paloma was created by Lys of Impression Scrap after the horrid and tragic events in France last year. Paloma is travelling around the world to spread the message of peace. This is what Lys had to say:
"After the shock, anger, nausea... what to say, what to do?
I have only the weapons made of paper and words....
I can face violence only with my value and beliefs.
Freedom and peace are the ones I wished to give today.
My little dove of simple paper
For her I make a wish: could she take flight,
And give all around the world her freedom and peace message"
Paloma came to me after visiting Anne of Redanne. She has already had adventures with Sandy of Simply Sandy, Sara Emily of sarascloset and Alison of Words and Pictures.
Lys asked that we photograph Paloma in a place that represents peace and freedom to us, so here is the story of our adventure together as I took Paloma to the lake, where I find the most peace.
***
The first place I took Paloma was to a little hiding spot by the lake. Paloma sat on a branch and I sat on the bench and I talked to her about the importance of appreciating nature. All creatures great and small are amazing and miraculous, each in their own way. With so many bees and trees dying this last year, every leaf is precious and every life is invaluable.
The next place I took Paloma was to see the flowering trees. Here, I talked to her about the importance of stopping to smell the flowers. Never take for granted what you have. Good health, family and friends, these are just a few of the joys not everyone gets to experience. I told Paloma to enjoy each day like it's the most wonderful day there ever could be.
The last place I took Paloma was to the dock. Here, we didn't talk at all. We just sat and enjoyed the peace, and silently hoped and wished for the rest of the world... that they would also enjoy peace.
It was an honour to be a part of Paloma's travels, and as I send her off to her next destination, I send all my wishes for her to have a wonderful adventure when she arrives. And to everyone I wish a peaceful existence.
Hugs, Pamellia :)

Hi Pamellia
ReplyDeleteOh that it was so simple in this world in which we live. People seem to place value on material things but, sadly, not on human life.
Bless you for doing your bit to try and make it better.

When you'll have time to hop over at my blog, you should be able to read her last trip in France with me and my family, even if you still cannot leave a message, I don't know why, but it doesn't matter..
