Happy "I Do" Day Wedding Card with Video

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I have just gotten home yesterday, so I will be around to visit you all today and tomorrow. We had perfect weather while we were up north, and I saw a deer!!!! What a hoot!!! We had a  wonderful time, but it's always nice to get home to your own bed. Plus, I really missed my squirrels!! lol

So today I thought I would share a wedding card and tutorial video that I made using products from Canvas Corp Brands. The video is further down, for now, here are some pics.

For this card I used the following products from Canvas Corp Brands:

Black & Ivory Damask paper / Black & Ivory Sonnet Reverse paper
His & Hers on Kraft paper / His & Hers on Ivory paper
His & Hers Sayings on Ivory paper
C-Flute Kraft - corrugated paper
Canvas Fringe / Mini Bags - White
Mini Clothespins- Natural
Tattered Angels - High Impact Paint - White

So here is my video, if anyone would care to have a looksie.

I haven't had a chance to go through my photos from my trip up north, so I thought I would share some pictures from our visit to Belfountain Conservation Area last weekend. A beautiful spot with a waterfalls, a park, lots of trails, a river, some rapids, a beach and some wonderful scenic areas. Today I have pics from just the small lake and fountain in the main park area.

So right at the other end of the park, was the waterfalls, yay!!! And then this amazing rickety bridge to head into the forest for one the trails, but first...

...what could be hidden up these little stairs I wonder?
to be continued. tee hee

And back on the home front, I've been getting more and more visits from one of my favourite birds, the sweet little Downy Woodpeckers.

MR BAGGINS making a funny face at me from the railing, what a funny little dude!

This photograph is a special one that I took for my dear friend and talented crafter Niki of Pawsitively Creative Crafts. She said she wanted to see me feeding the squirrels, so I snapped this shot of CRAZY KAREN eating out of my hand on Friday morning before we left.

I don't show these shots very often because they are quite difficult to take. My camera is just impossible to use with only one hand, so it's very rare to get a shot like this that's actually in focus. Quite a few of the squirrels eat directly from my hands, so I will try to get more shots like this one.

And when I got back yesterday, JUNIOR popped right up from his nap and gave me a look that let me know he was happy to see me. My heart almost melted when he bolted over to the front step and took a veggie right from hand. First time ever!! Maybe he just was hungry, but I like to think that he missed me.

He filled up on Avocados and Carrots, then plopped right down on the step and had a little relax time!! Awwwwwwww, I missed you too little dude!! Bless your little heart!

One last pic today, my token morning coffee shot. I love all my sunrises, but some sure are more unique than others, and this was one of them!!

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

Hello Everyone!

I am super excited to share with you today, my first Christmas card using the upcoming new Christmas collection from Pion Design called GREETINGS FROM THE NORTH POLE! My mouth was watering as I sifted through all the beautiful patterns and images, I just know you will love it as much as I do!!

As you read this post, I am up north, in my home town, spending some time with the folks. I find it ironic now that I was in such a hurry as a teenager to get out of the country and move to the city. HA! Hindsight and all that, right!! This is my first summer visit in many years, so I will probably be taking a thousand photographs! I wish everyone a great weekend, and I will see you next week!

Thought I would share a few pictures of the little garden in the town square called the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Gardens. It's not a large garden, but there's still lots to see and it's very picturesque and peaceful considering it's right in the heart of downtown.

I believe this is an Annabelle Hydrangea bush. So pretty!

Surrounding this garden is a huge splash pad (that I take full advantage of whenever possible - even though I'm a touch taller than the other humans splashing about!), the square where they hold all of the festivals (last call for all-you-can-eat ribs), and the town hall. You'd never know that though. The trees and bushes are all very cleverly placed, so all you see is flowers and foliage!

Thanks to the very talented Sara Emily of sarascloset, I know now that this is a Hosta.

Possibly some sort of Day Lily? It sure as heckfire is gorgeous isn't it!!

And right above us, this awesome clock tower!

Back on the home front, I had a visit from a female Starling. Love the way she looks like she's wearing a mask! She has quite lovely plumage, many of the females are just a plain sort of grey.

This may be my favourite little baby bird other than the Sparrow. There were two baby Blue Jays sitting in the tree with their mouths open, waiting for Momma to feed them. So cute the way they topple and weeble. LOVE THEM!

Oh SKITTLES, that does not look like a great place to catch a nap!!
Come share the chair with JUNIOR!

PATRICIA trying to escape the sun, even if just for a minute or two.

And how about JUNIOR anyway? Well there is no surprise that he is lying down on the job again, but at least he's eating his veggies. He does love a good carrot.

I have woken JUNIOR from his nap for this shot, I think that face pretty much says it all, don't you!
"WHAT, WHO! WHAT'S HAPPENING? DID I MISS DINNER?"
"OH, IT'S YOU. GOOD GRIEF LADY, YOU SCARED THE BA-JEEBLES OUT OF ME!!"

Last but not least, my token morning coffee shot... straight from a horror movie!

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.
