Today I am playing mix and match with the new Pion Design collection "Theodore & Bella", and a few of my other favourite collections as well. I love to coordinate the colours and patterns together to get a brand new look! You would never know that this card has Christmas paper in it, that's how versatile the collections are!

I've had some questions regarding our strange late season snowfall, so I thought I would clarify for those of you non-Canadians. This sort of weather is actually the norm for us here. We would usually get snow well into April and even see some snowflakes falling in May. Last year and this year have been the exception, the mild weather and lack of snow are not how we usually spend the winter season. I'm hoping this is not a sign of winters to come, our plant and wildlife are suffering dearly.

That being said, I am enjoying this last round of snowy days. How about this yellow tree I found!!

For my birds today I have this female Sparrow in the snow...

Well my world is completely covered in white again. We officially have more snow now than we have had all stinking winter, go figure. I have mixed emotions because on one hand I love the snow!! But on the other hand, I worry so much for my squirrels. 

For my birds today I have this sweet Red Breasted Nuthatch...

Instead of my macro today, I wanted to share a photo to help explain why I am so worried about my squirrels. Most have them have moulted a lot of their fur and are now completely exposed with bare skin showing. This is my sweet MARCIA how she looked last week, before the temperatures plummeted. She's lost even more fur since then... I don't think any of us would fare very well outside with nothing but a bathing suit on!! Be safe my little friends!!

Pion Design - Sweet Dreams

So they are predicting snow for this weekend, but I'm not sure how I feel about that now. Don't get me wrong, snow is my favourite weather, but it feels like winter has long been over. The grass is peeking through, the summer birds have started arriving, and I've already started drawing out my plans for the new patio... DOH! Oh well, it does make for nice photos, so what the heck!

The American Robin is a summer bird, so to see one sitting on a snow covered branch is a bit odd!

Look everyone, Missy finally came out from behind the tree! Unfortunately it seems she only did so, to blow me a raspberry! Lol. That's ok, I gave her a treat anyway! 

Does everyone remember Rocky? He doesn't come around often, but when he does he always makes me smile. His fur is very unique in colour, a sort of greyish brown. He's tough and brave and I miss him when he's away!
