I had forgotten what a pain in the butt packing up a house can be! I am trying to keep things organized, but I find that really hard to do while still keeping everything compact and sensibly stored. I fill a box with all things linen, but there's some space left in the box, so I run around the house trying to find something to add to the top and end up with a couple of pairs of shoes that wouldn't fit into the hall closet box!! Now tell me that's not going to be confusing later!! haha!! Oh well, it is what it is!!
It's time to start another challenge over at Try it on Tuesday. This time around our theme is TRY SOMETHING NEW. I have put together an all occasions card to tuck away for whenever I may need it.
Usually when I colour a panel with some Tim Holtz distress inks, I will take a mister with water and quirt the panel a bit to create some distressed areas. For my new technique, I coloured the panels using Gathered Twigs and Brushed Corduroy and then I used some DecoArt Titanium White Americana paint diluted with water and squirted that onto the panels. It really made some wonderful patterns and changed the colours of the distress inks to create an entirely different look!
The flowers were cut using Joy Crafts Flower #4 die set and coloured with distress inks Wild Honey, Scattered Straw and Tea Dye. The leaves are from Spellbinders cut from a tan card stock. I cut the burlap leaves out by hand. I believe the bird stamp is from BoBunny, as well as the script stamp. The fancy flower flourish is from Memory Box. The birds and the birdcage are wooden embellishments from my stash.
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.
