Pion Design - On a Pedestal

Hello Everyone!

Today I am sharing a soft summery card put together using two gorgeous Pion Design collections, "Legends of the Sea" and "The Songbird's Secret". The soft blues are so perfect for a shabby garden creation!

Pion products:

Legends of the Sea - Go West PD9002
Legends of the Sea - Borders PD9012
The Songbird's Secret - Nesting Birds PD8401

It's been busy busy busy around here, as we've been tearing apart the crappy setup we had outside and building a gorgeous garden patio that I can't seem to get enough of!! I'm still working on switching out all of the furniture and fixing little things here and there for the squirrels and birds, so no photos yet... but I can't wait to share it with you when it's done!

"Some old-fashioned things like fresh air and sunshine are hard to beat."
~Laura Ingalls Wilder~

I'm so excited to see a little colour in my tree out front. Seems my tree is the very last one to bloom around here! The birds love it too, like this wee Chickadee

This bird is especially exciting to catch a glimpse of. It's an American Sparrow, but it's a Piebald. Basically that means, it's part Albino (a form of leucism). It's a super rare thing to see one, and I can't believe my good fortune to get a shot of this beauty!

"I am quite busy Madam, so please take your photo quickly and then be gone, shall we."
~Bunny~

"Yuckkkkkkk! I think I accidentally ate some healthy food! Give me peanuts human!"
~Mr Wizard~

"Stop fiddling with the camera and take the picture already! I can't hold this pose for much longer, I'm getting a charley horse!"
~Princess Tabitha~

Does everyone remember my summer baby last year, named JUNIOR? Well it seems I finished the patio just in time because this little guy has made himself right at home in the corner behind some stumps.

Everybody say hello to this year's summer baby...
MICKEY (like Mickey Mouse)
Oh, I can't wait to see what sort of antics he gets up too this summer!

I have someone very special to introduce to you today. Everyone knows my best bud Crazy Karen right? Well this is her little daughter. So far, Karen has only brought her around when it's still dark out, so I don't have any great pics yet, but I still want you to meet her

Say hello to the cutest little version of Karen EVER...
BABY KAY
Oh my gawwwwwddddd, the cuteness is killing me!!

For my macro today, a dandelion in the morning dew...

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

  17. Love, love, love that card. The pale blue and whites are such a stunning combination and I always love how you have so many layers and yet it does not look overloaded. Have to mention too that I adore the small sentiment. I quite often have trouble trying to add sentiments to my cards .. can never find the right place .. so, generally, I don't add anything but, using such a small banner would be the perfect answer .. why didn't I think of it?? Afraid I'm pinching that idea from you Pamellia! LOL!!
I know I've said it before but, your photos just keep getting better and better. These are simply brilliant!! Love them all but my fave has to be Baby Kay!! Total cuteness overload .. she is darling!! Can't wait to see more of her.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving me such lovely comments. I really, really appreciate it, especially coming from someone with your awesome talent! Makes my heart sing!! hugs xx

  20. This card is slightly different, I think? still all the beautiful layers and design, but the pedestal stands out on it's own, love the twisted ribbon and the patterned leaves. I absolutely LOVE everything about it, who wouldn't?

Your piccies are an absolute joy as always. Aren't dandelions the most beautiful flower, shame it spreads so much, I saw a grass verge which until the car got up closer, I thought was covered in genus flowers, then saw they were dandelions, I just wish I had got my brother to stop the car, a fabulous sight.

  21. Your cards is just stunning, that pedestal would make a fabulous bird bath. As ever your wildlife photos are stunning. Those gorgeous squirrels melt my heart every time I see them. The dandelion is fabulous. I went on a foraging for bunnies course to find out what bunny safe plants I could pick to add to their diet. I popped a variety of freshly foraged plants in their run and Parsley picked out every single dandelion leaf, stalk and flower and ate them all before he would even try the rest of it! Didn't need to go on a course to identify those! Cara x

  25. My dear Pamellia, what a treat to immerse myself in your masterful creations tonight. Your cards still take my breath away, even after all this time. You are so unique. This is one of my favorites from you... I am so behind on pretty paper collections, but I do hope to own this sometime. You inspire me so richly with every work of your heart.. which includes your photography. Stunning images, my friend. It has been a while, but I hope you know that you are forever in my heart and prayers! I am still only crafting once or twice per month, but hope that will change soon. Sending tons of love and hugs your way. :)

    Hugs and blessings,

  29. Fabulous card Pamellia, I love the pretty pale blue shades and the flowers flowing out of the pedistal is a wonderful effect. Lots of very pretty ribbon and lace adds to this wonderfully feminine card, so adorable.

Great pics, everyone is looking so well after the winter, you can just see the better weather reflected in their faces, perhaps it is more food or the sunshine. Whatever it is, it is so good to see them all.
