The weather here has been wonderful this year. We have had tons of rain and the temperatures have been fairly mild compared the normal. The park and trails are green and lush this year, making my walks so much more enjoyable.

I think my husband would tell you that I actually started dancing when I realized that the flooding at the river allowed this Cormorant to come close enough to shore for me to get a close up shot! What a gorgeous bird, I hope to see him again soon!
"Errrrrrrrr, ok, I know why I'm laying down on the forest floor. What's your excuse!"
~Mr Cottontail~
"Oh my gosh, is that flower for me! It's so beautiful! Now... How do I open it?"
~Princess Tabitha~
"Ahhhh, I know you're trying to fancy up the patio, but is it necessary for me to stare at a frog's butt while I eat!"
~Delilah~
"Silly human. I'm just a baby, I'm supposed to get food all over my face!"
~Baby Mickey ~
"Don't tell my Mom because she says I should eat lots of veggies, but the human has a bag of cashews and I'm wiggling in my fur to try some!"
~Baby Kay~
Thank you to everyone who has stopped in to say hello. I just love logging in and seeing how everyone is doing. I hope to find the time to hop around and say hello back to all of you!!

Love the bird on the flowers, the pearl stick pins and all those lovely layers and die cuts! Even though you aren't posting as much, don't think you are forgotten! You certainly haven't lost your feminine touch in your artwork! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card!
ReplyDeleteAs always I'm enjoying your photos of nature!Mr. Cottontail is a beauty of a creature, as are each of the squirrels! Love reading your captions, bringing these furry critter to life! Sending biggest hugs your way!
I feel less alone when reading your posts, Pamellia, because I carry on entire conversations with our fur children and the wild creatures all the time. My husband sort of scratches his head, but then he gets that I really can decipher what the animals are conveying to me LOL I like having that part of my imagination, especially, because of the happiness it brings. Your critter conversations are similar - and always bring a smile.
ReplyDeleteSigh - such loveliness in your creation with those gorgeously soft pastels and the pretty layers. I especially like the blue border peeking from being the horizontal panel. Pure loveliness, Pamellia! Wishing you a great Wednesday! hugs, de
What a wonderful feminine card! Those pastels are perfect for this beautifully layered card! Great photos as ever! BTW - I'm with Delilah - froggies not nicie - in my book anyway!Hugs, Chrisx

ReplyDeleteHi, I hope you are OK, I am so sorry that I have not been around recently, my laptop has packed up and I have to waiting until my hubby is not using his in order to borrow it (and just between you and me his laptop is rubbish! It is ancient and soooooo slow - no wonder he spends all of his time on it).
ReplyDeleteGreat card, such pretty colours and lovely image. As always, lots and lots of fabulous layers and beautiful flowers and bow.
Wonderful wildlife photos, I have really missed the squirrels ... especially the new babies, they are soooo cute. Talking of cute, how cute is that duckling, awww. Stunning photo of the cormorant, what an amazing blue eye! You must be over the moon with that picture, you have been wanting to get close enough to a cormorant for so long.
