Today I have a just for fun card that I put together for the Pion Design Team. I thought I would add to my Birthday stack because you can never have to many of those at the ready.
I apologize for my long weekend, I thought I would get a bit of spring cleaning done while I had the chance. Our weather is supposed to see dramatic improvements soon, and I am stoked to be ready for that! I will be around to visit you all today at some point!

I watched the most amazing dance between a female and male Cardinal the other day. I wish I could have caught more images but the story is pretty simple. They were very intrigued by my bird feeder, but the female (Chelsey) was quite hesitant to land with me standing in the doorway. Finally the male (Casey) took the plunge and came in for a bite.
She waited in the tree patiently while he nibbled away at the feeder until he broke a piece off.
Then off he flew to meet her back in the tree with his offering. I missed the shot by a split second, but he passed it to Chelsey beak to beak. Looked pretty darned romantic to me!! Well done Casey, well done!
Caught a nice shot of a Blue Jay out my bird watching window...sure do love these guys!
My token morning coffee shots:
Pumpkin and Mr Scruff send a big hello to everyone. They are enjoying the new dish as well as their new diet that now consists of peanuts, sunflower seeds, dried veggies and fresh avocado!
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks Elaine. I just use my scissors to distress the edges. I've purchased a few different tools for it, but in the end, my scissors are just the most convenient. hugs :)

Pamellia, you are kicking some serious butt with these Pion papers! I think this is my favorite of your Pion designs, and that rose is breath taking! Oh, how I wish I could make such lovely blooms! You have really started my day off on a wonderful note!
ReplyDeleteYour birdie photos are as amazing as your artwork! I've never seen the sweeter side of cardinal courtship, but interesting that they share the food like that. Cardinals are so very busy chasing each other around right now; and that can only mean one thing! More cardinals to enjoy! I have to say the blue jay is stunning, but I just don't care for them...they are mean to the other, smaller birds here. Stunning photos and card, my friend! Big hugs!
Stunning card, love the soft greens and blues with all the distressing and layers!! Such a sweet bunch of critters you have :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a gorgeous layout, Pamellia! Love the soft colors you've worked with and your rose is stunning! As always...I so love you sharing the natures pictures...birds and squirrels are my faves. Yesterday, I watched a squirrel have a "bath". There was a bit of soft dirt (leftovers from a flower pot) and he/she was rolling around in it and then grooming. It repeated the process several times...was fun to watch. Then of course it was time for a few peanuts :) Hugs!
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats for having your Boy Oh Boy canvas featured on Prima's Instagram...well deserved...it is totally stunning!
