Glad to be here today as a Guest Designer for the wonderful challenge blog Scrapping4fun! The challenge for the next two weeks is "BIRDS". How fun is that!! It's always such an honour to craft along side this talented team, do hop over and see what gorgeous creations they came up with.
I decided to play with some of my new Prima Marketing papers and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists to make an all-occasions card to add to my stash.
The papers are from the Prima Salvage District collection, the birdcage stamp is from Kaisercraft, the large doily die cut is Prima, the small doily die cut is Spellbinders. The frame, doves and flourishes were made from moulds and the clock inside the frame is from the Prima paper collection. The hummingbird stamp is from Hot off the Press and the leaves are from Cheery Lynn.
To colour the flowers and the ribbon I used Canvas Corp Brands products from Tattered Angels. I mixed together a touch of paint with the Glimmer Mists to create a more solid shade of colouring. I also used the Glimmer Mists in various strengths to paint the hummingbird.
Glimmer Mist - Curious
Glimmer Mist - Silk
High Impact Paint - Light Blue
High Impact Paint - Light Pink
High Impact Paint - White
The flowers were handmade, you can watch the video tutorial HERE if you like.
I am entering the following wonderful challenges:
***
Well the rain has melted all the snow away and I am cautiously optimistic that spring is arriving any minute now. I'm glad to be able to get out of the house again, and I also enjoy the flurry of activity outside my bird-watching window.
"Oh my gosh, would you look at all those peanuts down there!!"
"I definitely need to get me some of those!"
"WAIT...do you ever get the feeling that you're being watched??"
"PAN OUT, PAN OUT, PAN OUT!!"
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"
My token coffee shot, as well as a shot of the moon...which has decided to poke it's head out while the sun is still shining! Hellllooooo!!
I always take a bag of peanuts with me on my walks because you just never know when you will run into a new face. This little guy was very grateful for the afternoon snack.
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.
WOW! Beautifully done, as usual! Love that black feather, it is such a great touch! The flowers look gorgeous and the little bird that is ready to land on them is simply amazing!

Hi Pamellia
ReplyDeleteWhat a super card, I love that fabulous humming bird stamp, it looks amazing the way you have coloured it. The pink and aqua look fabulous together, especially the flower and bow.
I also love all of the moulded pieces, I keep promising myself that one day I am going to have a go at making some pieces like this.
Your Blue Jay is a lovely bird, apart from the Kingfisher, I do not think we have birds as colourful as the Blue Jay and your Cardinal bird.
Have a great weekend.
