Hello Everyone! I am here today hostessing the Friday Focus over at Frilly and Funkie! I thought I would share some information and projects using the papers from Pion Design that Linda carries at The Funkie Junkie Boutique. I do hope you will pop on over and visit me!
***
The world is starting to get lush with green and the bit of rain last week has given the foliage a growth spurt. YAY!! Just a few mixed shots today as I practice with better camera settings and angles. This little baby squirrel is keeping himself cool by laying on a log and shading himself with his tail. I see this sort of thing a lot when it's hot. Any type of wood will do, a fence, a log, a branch, even a deck.
Does everyone remember Mr. Squirrel Bon Jovi??
Well look at him now! He has his brand new fancy summer coat of fur on! Isn't he handsome!
I think I will officially be switching from my token 'morning coffee' shot to my token 'after-dinner' shot. First of all, who the heck is awake at 4:30am to watch the sun come up! Second of all, that big tree in the front is effectively making the shots hard to get. Oh well, I still have this...
OK, so this next one was just for fun. I took a shot of this cool leaf in the dark and then tweaked it all artsy like afterwards. The original photo was just a big black smudgy bunch of nothing! Fun stuff!
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.
Nature really is awake at yours Pamellia, you have caught some lovely shots. How cute is the squirrel shading himself and Mr BJ certainly is very handsome. Off to check out your project at F+F. Have a lovely weekend xx

ReplyDeleteFabulous seems such an ordinary thing to say about your shots, I love what you take. The artsy shot is just so great, would look great enlarged on a canvas, you know, as you see in in some galleries.
ReplyDeleteIf you get any better at the photography stuff you are going to have to start selling your pictures to the people who make calendars and books about nature.

PS Nice to see Mr Bon Jovi again.
Hi Pamellia
ReplyDeleteSorry my catch up got interrupted the other day.
Mr Jovi is looking rather fine in his summer coat and isn't the world a happier place for seeing a bit of greenery.
Best wishes.
