So while Andrei and I were on vacation, we decided it would be a great idea to climb up the side of our local mountain so we could visit the waterfalls. It looked really beautiful from down on the ground.
WE DID NOT THINK THAT THROUGH! Let me tell you about the questionable trails, steep inclines and the many many bugs!!! Next time, I'm taking a helicopter!!
These are just a few of the photos of our trek up the mountain. A lot of the photos didn't turn out because I was so busy swatting mosquitoes, that I had no patience for fiddling with camera settings!
Yeah, I had the same reaction... is that a tee pee in the middle of the forest? WHAT THE??
Well, that's the majority of what we saw as we climbed and stumbled and swatted bugs. Stay tuned til next time for the actual waterfalls images. We did run across this little chipmunk at the base of the mountain. The photo was horrible so I just artsied it up. MY FIRST CHIPMUNK! So cute!
And back on the home front. Junior has been making himself quite comfortable on the patio. He takes his afternoon naps there, which totally makes my heart melt! I'm so in love with this guy!
Oh my gosh, couldn't you just eat him up!! We have another newcomer. This little gal up in the tree is even smaller than Junior. If she ever works up the courage to come on the balcony, I will give her a name.
This little Chickadee couldn't resist my peanut lure. These birds are so small, holy moses!! I sure do love listening to them sing!
My token after dinner shot...
is it just me, or does that look like tire tracks in the top left corner? Bizarre!
is it just me, or does that look like tire tracks in the top left corner? Bizarre!
Beautiful card, I am sure Branka loved it. Wonderful photos, sorry you didn't enjoy the climb too much! Have a fun day, hugs, Valerie

ReplyDeleteLove the photographs though the journey didn't sound too great which was a shame.
Love Chrissie xx
Happy birthday to Branka I am sure she was beyond delighted with this beautiful card with such lovely elements layered up. Really enjoyed the video and its amazing how you can add so much to such a small space . Photos of your fury friends are adorable . Thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving your sweet comment. Hugs
ReplyDeleteStunning card Pamillia... and Happy Birthday to Branka too!! Love the soft shabby chicness of it xx
ReplyDeleteYet another beauty Pamellia!! Scrummily textured with fab elements. Get you out in the wilderness!! (Actually, I thought I was back watching 'The Revenant' again! That movie was too much of an unlikely stretch for me, not to mention all those OTT award ceremony mutual lovefests!). Anyway, back to your post, love the card, love the photos (especially the little chickadee). Hope the bites have settled down. Happy weekend! Nicola x
ReplyDeleteYour card for Branka is just gorgeous Pamellia and I loved watching your video (as I always do!).
ReplyDeleteThat forest on the way up the mountain reminds me of an enchanted forest, the trees look like they have been stripped of bark. Che chipmunk is a little sweetie. Sorry to hear about the mozzies though. Our Canadian visitors could not believe that week keep our windows open at night, without screens....we don't get quite as many as you get...
Junior looks like he has made himself quite at home!! He is adorable! Hugs, Anne xx
A beautiful card Pamellia as always..love your layers and textures..great photos and we have bush walks here too that really challenge you..love your new playmate and the little cutie curled up in your pillows..so very cute.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous photographs and love the card. The colours you chose are so spring like.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, Angela xXx
Another stunning card Pamelia .. I am sure Branka will treasure this. Love the colours, the amazing textures and all the different layers. So much detail in such a small space .. and I enjoyed the video too. The photos of your bush walk are totally enchanting .. some amazing scenery .. just such a shame that you couldn't really enjoy it because of the bugs. Always adore seeing your furry friends. hugs xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely card! Your friend will love it! And thank you for the video! Amazing work.
ReplyDeleteSo hard to comment because I ooh and ahh over your beautiful art, then I get hypnotized by your pix!-- First, the card is so pertty. I love the pastels and frantage-y heavy EP chunks. Regarding the pix, is that Port Oreford cedar? Beautiful scene. And I love your love for the wildlife! (I'm an outdoors person also... so keep your pix coming!) Hugs from CA
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous card! Happy birthday Branka indeed! This card looks like a birthday cake, so yummy!
ReplyDeleteOh my gracious - I have no idea how you made it on that walk girl. Those paths look treacherous. Whew. What an adventure!!
ReplyDeleteBranka's card is FABULOUS and there is no doubt she will cherish it forever. Thank you so much for the video too.
Heheheheh - laughed out loud at Jr.!!!! Incredible!!! Xj.
Dear Pamellia, your sweet card to Branka is lovely. I especially love the bird, but all of the layers are just beautiful! I can tell that Branka was totally thrilled with her special card and will treasure it as I do the card you made for me.
ReplyDeleteLoved taking the hike sans the mosquitoes! I am a mosquito magnet, so I'm happy to just look at the photos! Those trees are amazing and surreal. Loved seeing Junior's antics on your porch--what a precious little fur ball he is! How adorable seeing him nap among the pillows--spoiled rotten!
Sorry, but I think it's just you on the tire tracks; I'n not seeing it! but a lovely sunset, nevertheless! Big hugs!
Another amazing card and so very beautiful. Your photos of the trail show it would be nearly impossible for me to take that route. Great photos of it. I did laugh at you wanting a helicopter next time. Your squirrel and chickadee are so delightful and the evening shot is beautiful, but nope - sorry can't see the tyre tracks. Off to see your video now.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.

I get so excited when I see that you have posted a video because I love watching you create. One of these days, I am going to take one of your videos and try to create with you pausing the video several times, of course to get all those fabulous details. Thanks for sharing a part of you with us and for adding all the amazing nature pictures on your blog.
ReplyDeleteAnother fabulous card. I love the pastel colors and all the wonderful details.
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous card Pamellia, I love it`s colours :)
ReplyDeleteHi Pamellia,
ReplyDeleteWOW! STUNNING! lOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT GIRLFRIEND. So, so pretty as was your Pastels & Pearls, another stunner. You do have this special knack of doing layer upon layer, knowing where to place things and even though there are loads of products on there it never looks too much, just perfect in everyway. So much detail but perfect. I so love these papers that you use too, very pretty, do the company sell them in the UK as shipping costs/customs are too expensive to purchase from the US I know this as I did it with a Heartfelt Creations paper pad once and the charges were twice as much as the cost of the pad lol!
I loved the photos, gosh that was some walk you did, does not look an easy path either, well done for completing it. Loving the squirrels too, so cute.
Anyway, take care my friend
Love & hUgs

O....M...G...Pamellia this is my treat of the day, beauty, beauty and more beauty is all I am seeing, your friend must be over the moon to have received one of your awesome creations, it will surely be treasured for many years to come. It is a stunning piece of work Pamellia, the embossing, the embellishments and design as always is top notch, brilliant make. I totally love your photos but had to smile at the little picture in my mind of you swatting bugs, lol, we don't have that problem here, thank goodness, those photos of the trees are fantastic, the shapes look so unearthly looking, we do not have to explore the outer space when we have such alien looking features all of our own, the Squirrels are delightful Little Junior spread out made me laugh my dog Jess does that as well, lol, Pamellia your post as been an amazing full of magic I have enjoyed my visit so much, thank you for sharing

Hi Pamellia
ReplyDeleteOh what a stunner for your friend. A Pamellia classic with all the frills and layers of loveliness.
You've got to smile at that squirrel splayed out on your balcony then using your patio furniture to snooze on lol!
Mosquitoes take out cutlery and napkins when they see me so you have my sympathies.
