Back today with another card for Pion Design. Today I have made a wedding card using the Vintage Wedding and Mister Tom's Treasure Collections. It's been a while since I did any handmade flowers, but this card really needed an exact match to the ribbon, so the aqua flower is hand done. I used lots of leftover bits of ribbons and laces to make this card. My scrap drawer was getting kind of full. lol

The weather here has been HOT HOT HOT!! We haven't had a drop of rain in weeks and things are starting to get a little saggy! No not me!! haha. I haven't been outside much with the over 100 degree temperatures, so I'm sharing some shots taken from a couple of weeks ago.
I didn't have luck figuring out what these next two flowers were, so if anyone knows, shout it out!! This white one was a flowering bush, the pink one was a knee high ground flower.
Sending out a very special thank you to two wonderful and talented bloggy friends who have given me the benefit of their experience and led me to put together a new bird feeding system. After the snow melted, all of the birds seemed to disappear except the Sparrows and Blackbirds, but now my patio is alive with the songs of Blue Jays, Cardinals, Grackles, Nuthatches and Chickadees!!
Thank you so much
and
Still waiting on Woodpeckers, Goldfinches and Hummingbirds, but I couldn't be happier with the results so far!!
And now for our daily does of squirrel cuteness...
SKITTLES and PRECIOUS say hello from the tree. (how cute is Skittles taking his nap!!)
MR SCRUFF says hello from the railing as he washes up after a bath in my water bowl!!
And JUNIOR says hello as he takes a quit cat nap in front of the food bowl. What a hilarious little dude!
My token after dinner shot...
Not a great shot of the moon, but considering I didn't have my zoom lens on or use a tri-pod, I was pretty happy with the detail!
I just needed to include this shot of the two Mourning Doves having a kissy kissy on the rooftop!! Figured it was apt for the card I made today. It was dusk when I shot this, so it's a little dark and fuzzy, but still...how sweet are they!
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.
What a beautiful card Pamellia - love the little pull out tag, and the beautiful laces!
ReplyDeleteYou photos are wonderful, as are your squirrels :-) What a great array of birds you have.
I would love to swap some of our cool and wet for your dry and warm weather.
Blessings

ReplyDeleteYour photos, as always, are fantastic, I just love the ones of the beautiful birds, so glad they have come back to visit. I did wonder if they stayed away because of the squirrels, I know they do in our garden. Please can you send some of your warm weather over here? Lol. Hugs, Anne xx

If I made a list of all the things I liked about this blog post we would be here a very long time. The charms, lace, diamond stick pins, all pearls, layout, tag, the touch of olive green throughout with the turquoise are just a few of my favorite things. The pictures of the birds, flowers ( unknown) and pesky squirrels are lovely. We have had a hot very dry spell and I had to stop putting seed and suet out because the squirrels ate it all right through the cages. We appreciate your wonderful art, so creative and beautiful. Thank you for sharing with us in the #236-#237 - Word Art Wednesday AG Challenge.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Carole
Lovely soft colours on your card and the flowers look great. The turquoise flower really maked the whole card pop. Great photos too.
ReplyDeleteHappy crafting, Angela x
A beautiful card. I love the touches of teal and your handmade ribbon flower is so pretty. Wonderful photo's of all the different birds and the squirrels are such characters. Sally.x.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS layers on your fabulous card! I can't belief you raid your scrap box to make this, because everything is perfectly placed and works so well together! Those pops of teal steal the show, as well as all those lacy bits and the stick pins!! I just love looking at all the feminine details and can only shake my head in awe!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are all beautiful and capture the beauty of everything you aim your camera at. I would love to know your bird feeding tips...we only get a handful of species here at the feeders, but I know from working at MaryJo's there are many more in the area. Your squirrel shots are amazing and too cute for words!
Wow! Temps over 100! Now, that's HOT! Thank you for making my day with your beautiful art and photography! Big hugs to you!
Hi Panellia,
ReplyDeletesuch a gorgeous and stunning creation yet again today.
My your work is sooooooooooo! superb always.
Love the colour choice, and the flower to match the ribbon is outstanding.
Your photos continue to amaze me on their content, and wonderful shots of not only wildlife, but scenery also.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
A wonderful card wow and I love love love your fantastic photos! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteHope you can handle the heat furthermore.. here it gets hot as well now... after weeks of so much rain.
The flowers are so lovely, as is the entire delicacy of this beautiful card. So much for the eye to admire...and I love the verse. So glad you include closeups, which reveal the paper textures. Love the tiny blue flowers in this paper. Your green forest pics look cool & inviting. Always enjoy the critters, and good shot of the blue jay. We have those around our area, but they don't come to our feeder. We get cardinals and other brightly colored ones (yellow finches at the moment.) I'm sure hummers are around, but I've yet to put out the sugar water. Thanks for a lovely post to enjoy (we could use some rain as well). Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card Pamellia..the colours are exquisite and love your hand made flower..the stick pin, lace, and little tags..all are just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteluv CHRISSYxx

ReplyDeletexx coops xx
Where do I even begin? OK, let's start with the beautiful scripture pullout on your card - oh my how do I love this! Then there's the kissing doves, ah! And the moon, WOW! Yes, it's a good shot! I just love your photography! But the card is where my heart is and this one really captured it! The color combo is my fav, totally speaks to me. Love the small layers and distressed edges. A real treat, TFS! Hugs, Autumn

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card and shade of blue! I didn't know it got that hot in Canada! Here I always thought I wanted to move there to escape the heat and humidity here! Wonderful photos, once again, Pamellia! Love those sweet little animals!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card. Love all the textures. Thanks for sharing at Tuesday Throwdown Challenge. Good luck. Debi TT DT
ReplyDeletePS Your photos are wonderful, too.
Hi Pamellia! First, your card is so lovely. That color is one of my favorites...aside from purple. And, second, I think the first white flowers are part of the Cratageus family so I'm guessing that it is a Cratageus monogyna which is a type of hawthorn shrub. I couldn't tell what the leaves looked like in your picture, so I'm assuming it's something similar to that family.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Pamellia, I love the teal colour, it is unusual for a wedding card but it works so well. Loving the Pion papers too.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of the squirrels, they are so cute and just look at the colourful birds on your patio.
Dionne xx
Super card and fantastic photos, another wonderful post!!
ReplyDeleteYour card is again beautifully designed and layered Pamellia, I love the way the little message is popped in as part of the layers and your aqua flower definitely unites everything with the aqua ribbon. Love it. I so love your squirrels, we had one in the road yesterday but with having cats I rarely see them in the garden unless it's Autumn and they are raiding the bird feeders. Hope your temperatures become more manageable - hopefully ours are just about to warm up after torrential rain and storms xxx
ReplyDeleteOh Pemellia -- unbelievable card. You have such a wonderful way of layering paper and embellishments. Sigh ... It's such a struggle for me. Your work is a tremendous inspiration. I've learned a great deal from looking at your designs. Spectacular color. Love the pins! And of course the verse tucked away amidst the layers is genius.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore your nature photos. The kissing morning doves are marvelous. And you have captured the personality of your squirrels perfectly. That's a gift. I love the variety of colors of squirrels that you have. We primarily have grey squirrels in western North Carolina. However, over the last decade we've seen more and more white squirrels (not albino). Beautiful!! -- Mary Elizabeth
Pamellia, this is stunning! I love all of the beautiful details, the matching ribbon and flower are gorgeous! Great pics too, I love the doves!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Tammy
I am running out of superlative words for your work. ANOTHER so VERY BEAUTIFUL card Pamellia.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all these amazing photos, these birds have fabulous colours and seem really at their home! You have a fabulous family of squirrels, too, and the babies are very cute! In Italy is difficult see squirrels, they stay in the woods and don't come near the houses as these! Love them!!!
