The cute little violin embellishment was a gift from my wonderfully talented friend Sara Emily of sarascloset. It was gold, but I painted it white for a more shabby look. Thanks Sara!!

Well Autumn is finally in full swing around here and it is just beautiful out in The Shire. For my landscape photo today I have a lovely shot of a lone plant amid a field of leaves.
HENRY sure does stick out against a background of amber and orange!
BON JOVI sizes me up as she nibbles on a peanut.
This little girl was completely unsure about me, so she hung out on the tree trunk while she decided if she could trust me or not. Eventually she came down. Sweet thing!
The squirrels in The Shire are very well fed, as you can see!! HAHA!!
♫♫ "I like big butts, and I cannot lie" ♫♫
A Sparrow singing to me...
Nope, it's not a chicken, it's a Cardinal. HAHA!!
The birds on my daily walk seem to recognize me now, and they will come right to me and flutter in front of me until I open my hand and give them a treat. What an incredible feeling that sort of trust is!
Back on the home front, my dear sweet MISS CHERIE is taking a wee treat from my hand.
With such a heavy heart, I share the very last photo I ever took of MR SCRUFF. I dream at night that he is vacationing at his winter home and he is safe and sound. I miss him dearly.
My balcony is a revolving door of little visitors and so even though MR SCRUFF isn't here, there is another cute face to keep me company now. Everyone please meet MR CHUBB! OMG, would you just look at those chubby little cheeks!
Last but not least, my macro for the day...
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.
Beautiful and feminine card and lovely photos, hugs, Valerie

ReplyDeleteThinking that Mr. Scruff is missing brought tears to my eyes. I so loved the way he always had something on his face! I am agreeing with you - that he has found another safe place to spend the winter. He was for sure preparing... maybe he followed a new wife to her home :) Your family is always such a treat to see for me - just makes my day. Love the "fall" landscape photo - which I could capture that with my paints - so stunning to see the solitary plant amongst the brilliant leaves. Xj.

ReplyDeleteQuestion, is Henri a wild rabbit?or domesticated?
I so enjoy your little friends, thank you for sharing them with us!
And I believe Mr.Scruff, probably went home to his family, as much as he loved you, he was away too long, don't be sad for him,he is happy to have found a friend in you! xoxo
Beautiful card. I love this collection. It is so lovely. I'm sure Mr. Scruff will return. We have a squirrel that visits that we call Shorty because his tail it only about an inch long. He disappears from time to time but he always comes back in the spring. The short tail must be hereditary because we've started seeing young squirrels with short tails as well.
ReplyDeleteOnce again Pamellia..absolutely stunning..oh, how I love your videos...I don't know why or how I missed it in the firsat place but so glad I caught up again..love all your wild life shots and do hope Mr Scruff will return soon all well and happy.
