Today I'm sharing a birthday card made from the newest Pion Design collection "My Dearest Sofia". I just love the soft blue tones in this collection, they would work for any occasion, but I thought of a warm day by the water and a lovely swan swimming gracefully by.

Well the weather certainly has been a bit bipolar around here this week. We've had snow, freezing rain, regular rain, hail and even a warm sunny day! What the deuce! So my photos are bit all over the place as well. Happy weekend everyone!!
For my birds today, this sweet little Chickadee...
a stunning Seagull...
and a beautiful Blue Jay...
"Tee hee, how smart am I! I knew if I hid back here that she would fill up the bowl eventually!"
~Maria~
This is my sweet little friend Patty Cake. She is extra tiny and is very shy around me. It's hard to get a good picture of her, she's usually hiding behind a stump or a tree. She's named after Patricia, who sadly lost her life during a tree culling this winter.
I think we could all use one last picture of Mr Chubb covered in snow. I'm sure he won't miss it, judging by the look on his face!
"Ummmmm, I came up here for some privacy lady. Are you seriously still aiming that camera at me!"
~Crazy Karen~
And for my macro today, some of that freezing rain I mentioned earlier...
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.
Wonderful card, love the swan - there was one swimming along the Rhine yesterday, always a lovely sight. Great photos, hope the cold weather soon leaves you, hugs, Valerie

ReplyDeletePatty Cake is just so cute and of course it is always lovely to see Mr Chubb! Sadly we don't have any swans on the pond next to us but the Canada Geese have moved in to start their new families - I love them, just wish they didn't start honking at 4:00 am! Hugs, Anne xx

A delightful card Pamellia, a gorgeous design and I agree the colours are very fitting to a day by the water. The swan glides magnificently through. A canal flows past our village and we have a gorgeous pair that are present each day I visit, they certainly are very majestic creatures. Your fabulous furry friends will be happy to see the end of the snow and I know what you mean about seeing all the seasons of the year in a week. Happy Sunday xxx
ReplyDeleteSuch a romantic and feminine card, I love the little circles die shape in the background.

Gosh Pamellia, you so need to enter your amazing wild life photos into some photo comps! They are amazing!! Now your card, swoon, where do I start! Far too long for starters since I've popped in. Life never slows at mine, so I'm sneaking a quick moment to say hi while the kids eat an iceblock in the heat. It might be Autumn here in Auckland, but man it's hot and muggy! Perfect iceblock weather! I utterly LOVE your gorgeous card Pamellia, the colour of those papers is so so beautiful. Your swan is so pretty and all the beautiful layers and sweet details are utterly breathtaking. I so just wanna come hang out and watch you craft for an afternoon!!! Stunning creation hun, stunning. Hugs, Wends xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love your photographs, the wild birds and sweet little squirrels. So sad you lost your little friend Bon Jovi. Your Pion card is absolutely beautiful.

Pamellia, your card is so lovely! Those papers are gorgeous and you have layered them into perfection! I love the swan (did you make that? Cool mold, if so, but it must have been hard not to break it!) I love the die cuts it's layered up on especially the blue one-so delicate! You make the most amazing cards!
ReplyDeleteLove the photographs, and Patty Cake is the sweetest! Your macro shot of the freezing rain on the pines (?) is simply gorgeous! So sorry for my absence. I know I owe you an e-mail, too. With the warmer weather we're having I'm trying to get outside more, work in the garden, get things cleaned up, and so much time being spent trying to keep up with DT projects after taking almost two weeks off with the flu. Yuck! Sending hugs!
OH! so soft and delicate and VERY beautiful, love the swan and the ribbon and EVERYTHING. Fabulous photos again, just wish I could get such beautiufl closeups and the macro is fabulous.

Gorgeousness, Miss Pamellia! I love this birthday card with the feeling of the cool weather you so enjoy. It's like the ice breaking to make room for spring.-- one season full of loveliness giving way to another season of loveliness - each season so precious, like the seasons of our lives, of our years, of our days. It's a joy relishing the beauty of each moment because we know the preciousness of each second. P, you help us recall those seasons of our lives with every post. The photos of The smallest creatures, the landscapes shown through assorted lenses, your dear imagination revealed in artwork-- so many gifts you bestow upon us. Thanks for the email. I am holding it closely for awhile. In the meantime, I love that you are as graceful as the swan in your masterpiece. XOXO

Titilating and tantalizing dear Bubbles! This tickled me pink (or blue?) to see this gorgeous and smashingly wonderful card. That focal swan is amazeballs and so darn pretty! Reminds me of the book "The Black Swan" and how brilliant wildlife is. Elegance meets the lake and then some. The layers are of course so very scrumptious and the bubble die is so versatile! Awesome sauce and fantabulous!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics and of course the captions with it. hopefully your snow is gone and everyone is thriving. Hugz to you muffin! ~Doc
