Well I am piling it on today folks, as I throw my second card of the day at you. I do hope you will visit my earlier post and meet the newest member of my family!
I am excited to share this card with you, as it was made for my Guest Designer spot at the fabulous challenge blog My Sheri Crafts Blog. The current theme is "THINKING OF YOU". I thought I would let my "Bold Angel" take control for this one, she gets cranky if I don't take turns! lol
Thought I would whip up a batch of homemade faux wood planks for this card. Recipe included such things as beige and white paints, glue, ink sprays and some dark brown inks in various shades. I do hope to get a video done on various techniques for this at some point.
The green plaid paper and stamped flowers are from Forever in Time, it's been spritzed with Distress ink spray Twisted Citron. The doily edge punch is Martha Stewart, the Whimsy Circle Doily is from Memory Box, the leaves are from Cheery Lynn and the sentiment is from Kaisercraft.
The laces are hand dyed, the frame is made from crafter's clay, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the gorgeous yellow rose image is from my wonderful and talented friend Sanderijn of Live, Laugh, Love.

My card won an award in the following wonderful challenge:

To continue with our winter programming... Have you ever wondered what the true definition of 'ironic' is? Ironic is, not being able to read the warning sign about the ice, because of all the ice obstructing the warning sign!! HELLLOOOO!
I really look forward to not having to watch my squirrels balancing on this icy railing and running across those icy branches! Yipes! Didn't seem to bother Chocolate Charlie or Mini Mike today! Bless their little hearts!
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.
Wow another gorgeous card Pamellia, I'm intrigued to see how you make that fab wood effect. Oh dear your weather looks colder then what we have here in the UK!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Easter ;)

Another master piece. You have so many embellishements on this card I keep coming back and seeing more each time I do. The colours are gorgeous. Thankyou for fluttering by my challenge where your card will go intothe prize draw twice for using sll the elements. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteYour faux wood background looks wonderful offset by your mints and lemons. Wonderful card and look forward to your next video.

You always amaze me! You consistently produce some of the most gorgeous cards I have ever seen but this one really takes the cake! I love the cool green and beautiful yellows and the wood planks are fab-u-lous (yes please to a video!).
ReplyDeleteThe sign did make me smile and I just love how fluffy Chocolate Charlie and Mini Mike are! Hugs, Anne xx
Hi Pamellia
ReplyDeleteIts not too bold chuck. All the colours and embellishments compliment each either beautifully.
Your furry family is certainly expanding. Hope that Al Pacino and Bob the Spaz are still visiting.
Have a wonderful Easter weekend.
Ang x
Thanks so much Ang! Sadly, I haven't seen hide nor hair of Bob the Spaz in several months. I like to think that he found himself a lovely home somewhere with lots of peanuts available, but the sad reality is that only 22% of squirrels survive their first winter here in Ontario. I try not to think about that though. Big hugs and Happy Easter my friend :)
DeleteGorgeous card ... love those faux wooden planks. Video tutorial?? ... Yes, please! :) xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful card with lots of amazing details, love it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter.

Such a beautiful Spring card, I love those faux planks - looking forward to a tutorial if you get the time. I am determined to have a play in April, my orders are almost up to date and I think I might just be able to have some 'me' crafting where I get to make what I want in any style I fancy rather than commissions - looking forward to that too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Easter Sunday

This is beautiful Pamellia, such a beautiful spring design and lovely colours.

Those icicle pics are amazing and you're making me miss my lil' London furry friends. We don't have Squirrels in New Zealand! Happy Easter sweetie. Hugs, Wends x

You are a busy bee today and you are such a talented lady, I could never come up with two totally different designs on the same day. If I make two or more cards at the same time they look related - something about the eyes I think! But not you, this is so different from this mornings post and yet still utterly brilliant. I love your fake wood effects, here creating a wonderful back drop and the fabulous zesty colours you have used in this design really pop against the dark wood.
ReplyDeleteAmazing photography, you have really captured your winter wonderland.
Dionne xx
PS Congratulations on your GD spot.
Wow! This is one of my favorites. Love this color combo and always love your wood plank cards. So clever! The flowers and butterfly look amazing. Great details. Hugs, Autumn
ReplyDeleteHeya! Guess who made it here! Yup, moi. ;) I'm awake in the middle of the might (not by my choice!) and have some free minutes to write a comment or two. :) I haven't been able to visit blogs for over a month, so I missed quite a lot, but I'm glad to be here now to have a quick look at at least some of your most recent creations.
ReplyDeleteThis card just screams spring. All those flowers an butterflies. Very beautiful! I can't wait for the tutorial on those wooden planks. I love how they look!
Are those nature pics recent? Do you have snow and such cold weather NOW?! I mean, it does look Nice, but with april just around the corner one would think Spring should be here, not Winter.
Have a great day! Hugs!!!
