How excited am I right now... Pion Design is releasing a new collection soon and it looks beautiful. It's called "Scent of Lavender". This collection is inspired by the French countryside and the beauty and fragrance of lavender fields in bloom. I can't wait to see some sneak peeks of these gorgeous papers!!
***
Well I finally got outside for a walk this morning after being locked up in the house for six weeks now. What a beautiful day it was, all misty and some light showers...my favourite weather! I decided to head in a different direction today, so many wonderful new things I found!
You can see the big gaping hole in the view here, where there used to be a big tree! So sad.
I managed to capture a picture of this bird here on the bridge, he landed for only a split second so the image isn't very crisp. I think this is a Red-Winged Blackbird, he has bright orange and yellow on his wings.
I found this sweet little picnic area up on a small hill. You can see all the paths leading out in different directions from this spot. I am so bringing the girls here soon as they get their shots!
I have never seen a bird nest like this before...actually, it seems a little familiar. I think that may be my missing sweater!! HAHA!
I found another tunnel too! Oh boy, I can't wait to find out what's on the other side, but for now, I'm getting rained on...time to head home!
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.
What a stunner of a card Pamellia.....such gorgeous pinks there and even though I am not usually a pink girl......I am in love with it. These papers are a dream and you are turning them into works of art.The new lavender set looks awesome,we have lavender fields near us....I must try to get some photos this year in the summer. I'm so glad you got out again and can start to enjoy the outside. Nearly the weekend too...hooray! Hugs xx

I don't think you need to get away from the pink just yet (although lilac is sounding good!) This card is yet another example of your wonderful way with layers and embellies! Glad you got out for your walk - some great shots, especially love seeing that beautiful blackbird and the fluffy nest! I sometimes put little lengths of wool or string out on the hedge at the caravan for the birds at nesting time. Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteHi Pamellia another stunning creation, beautiful pinks and beautiful textures, love your photos you have wonderful scenery on your walks.

Beautiful pink layers and stunning details and embellishments, who said you have to move away from pinks? Stick with what you enjoy that's what I say. Although lavender sounds good too, can't wait to wee what you create with the new collection.

DeleteSo pretty Pamellia! Love the easter eggs, flowers and pretty papers!
ReplyDeleteI saw this on the Pion blog and thought it was just exquisite! No need to stop with the pink in my opinion. I love your photo of the bird. Is it a red winged blackbird?
ReplyDeleteSo pretty love the soft pinks and all the layers . Like how you cut the Easter eggs out of the design papers and added pearls are the frame . Thanks for sharing more photos they are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSoooo pretty Pamellia and you can use pink as many times as you like as its a fab colour. You do have the most amazing birds in Canada, our birds are more dull in the UK

Gorgeous! Loving the delicate die cuts and that paper is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThat is a red-winged blackbird, I believe, it, not the famed robin, is actually the first bird of spring. Birds will use anything soft to make nests....I usually give my lab a big comb out on the lawn in the spring and the piles and piles and piles (I always say I could make another dog with what I comb out) of fur are always gone in an hour or so, taken by birds for nests. :-)
Such a beautiful project today, loving the colours, the texture and layers. Thanks for sharing the photos, I always enjoy looking at them and the wildlife along the way x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, I love all of the soft pinks and boy are you spoiling us with all of the layers on this card. So many lovely embellishments, the frame of pearls is very pretty and I love the carnation, it seems to jump right off the page!
ReplyDeleteI am so pleased to see that you are last well enough to get out and about again, but it does look very cold and damp, so please take care of yourself. Lovely photos though, especially the blackbird on the bridge. Our blackbirds are just that (well, if I am honest, the females are more plain dark brown), it is so unusual for me to see one with such vivid stripes.
Dionne xx
I love the framed vintage image and vintage sentiment egg - what a lovely Easter Creation! We have just spotted the red winged blackbirds here as well - coming back for spring - they are usually found around waterways and we have a small river near by so they come to our yard to feed. have a wonderful weekend! Julia xx
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and feminine Pamelia..just gorgeous with the lovely soft colours.
ReplyDeleteluv CHRISSYxx
So gorgeous! Textures and layers, colours in a perfect harmony, always...

I've been wanting that Memory Box Catalina Wreath die for sometime, but I bought so many of Tim Holtz new things, I can't justify another purchase right now. I'll enjoy watching what you make with it for now!
ReplyDeleteLove all your photos... thanks for always sharing!
Have a wonderful weekend, my friend!
Have a wonderful weekend, my friend!
I love, love, love your gorgeous card, the Pion papers are quite simply glorious! But, it is the Red Winged Blackbird that has stolen my heart today, it is over 40 years since I saw one so I am thrilled you managed to capture one!! Aren't they just gorgeous. I hope you get to seem him again! Have a good weekend. Hugs, Anne xx

Your card just takes me back to my childhood Pamellia. It is my brother and I - all dressed up in the Easter clothes Mama made us. We actually lived in a pink house - Daddy painted it that color for her! And she was all about flowers and pearl and lace - fluff and frills. Back then - she would take our black/white photos and paint them herself. I still have some in the attic that she "colored"! She also painted gorgeous landscapes! Plus - we always had a HUGE Easter basket with Russel Stovers chocolates inside and she always bought us a huge EGG made out of sugar with a hole in it that you looked inside to see a charming scene. Easter was a BIG deal at our house as a kid and your card just totally makes me SMILE because it looks JUST LIKE MAMA'S Easter holiday with Joey and I in the picture!!!! LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures too. Your black bird pictures looks crisp to me - it's really a neat picture. You made me LOL at the sweater comment - eheheh - could be!!! And yes... let's hear whats on the other side of the tunnel. Hope you carry a cattle prog with you though!! XXj.
My dear Pamellia, visiting you has truly become my online happy spot. :o) Thursday night I thought I had turned a corner in my fight with a nasty bug, only to be worse than ever yesterday and last night. But at last I am here, my heart sighing happy sighs as I enjoy another encounter with this masterpiece. You know what amazes me? How you make beautifully soft papers even softer! This card is like an Easter dream. The papers and image are amazing and I love the soft wreath encircling the center. The pearls and flowers make them even more elegant and how darling are the little Easter eggs? :o) The touch of lace is just so pretty. Everything you make is like a ray of sunshine to my heart. :o) Beautifully done, my dear friend!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are fabulous as ever.. I'm thankful you were able to get out. The fluffy bird nest is my favorite! How sweet is that?! I think the residents were frequent visitors to your blog and became inspired to shabby up their nest. ;) Have a lovely day, sweet Pamellia!
Hugs and blessings,
Karen
Gorgeous card Pamellia, so soft and delicate :)
ReplyDeleteYou are totally channeling the pinky pinks dearie. What a soft and vintage vibe you have here with the pinks and the pearls. The pretty pearls were probably put on with premeditation and perhaps a pool of glue, probably. The Pion paper pad you have paired with the pearls is a parade of pretty. Piontastic! Hugz to you muffin! ~PDoc
