As far as the weather goes, I have nothing new to report this week. We had some snow, and then some rain, and then some snow and then some more rain, and more rain, and then MORE rain!!!! I feel like I'm experiencing two completely different seasons at the same time.

So... I have decided to concentrate on my trips up north and the shots that I get during the snowy periods. lol

For my birds today, I have a female Downy Woodpecker...

my token male Cardinal shot...

and a beautiful female House Sparrow...

"Holy crap, you have a whole bag of these! Would be wrong of me to ask for another??"

"Snow snow go away, come again some other day.
Snow snow go away, sun please come, so I can play."

"Yep, it's still wet and it's still cold!"

For my macro today, a branch covered in ice...

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

Your snowy scenes are truly beautiful and it is hard not to feel sorry for the gorgeous snow covered squirrels but I guess their thick coats do keep them reasonably warm. Love the macro today, the crackles look fantastic. Hugs, Anne xx

    1. Thanks so much Sandy. Last year we moved out of the city to a little place right on Lake Aquitaine in Mississauga Ontario. That is where all the bird and wildlife photos are taken. The landscape shots shown here today are from my weekend trip a few hours north of here in cottage country.

  31. Pamellia, can I just say this is MY FAVORITE ever Pamellia card! Birds, butterflies and flowers--what more could a girl ask for? I am in shabby heaven here, and I can honestly say my heart beat moved up about 40% when I opened this post! I have been dreaming of making a bird card for a belated birthday card, but nothing in my dreams came even close to being this beautiful!
I adore that bird image foremost, but just looking through all the lovely soft layers and seeing the beautiful papers you've used brings such joy! I love your frame layered on the wreath, your beautiful flowers and that shabby heart charm--wow--gorgeous details! Your color choices and entire design is just breath taking!

And then there's the photography! Be still my heart! Love seeing your snow, and especially the beauty of the macro shot. Of the wild life, although I do love birds, I am taken by the squirrel you captured with his eyes shut--how stinkin' adorable! Love, Love, LOVE seeing your beautiful artwork and photography! This really made my day! Sending warm hugs!

  39. My dear friend, at last I can leave you bloggie love! I get torn between wanting to me ultra-timely even if I only a moment.. or waiting until I can properly tell you how much I love your work. :) I chose to wait until I could sit and relax, immersing myself in your sweet creation. I am so eager to get this collection, but do not know when I will. :( Your work with it is gorgeous as ever. The color palette is dreamy. One of my favorite parts of the entire collection is that sweet birdie, so I am delighted to see your use of it! She is perfectly nestled amongst the stunning frame and birthday bouquet.. what could be lovelier? Exquisite design and layering, Pamellia. The heart accent is of course one of my favorite details. You leave no stone uncovered. :)

As for your photographs, they are inspiring beyond description! How I treasure sweet animals and winter's beauty.. your posts fill my heart to overflowing. Thank you for that, my darling friend! Have a beautiful day. And thank you for the endless support. :)

    Hugs and blessings,
    Karen

  41. What a wonderful card with the new paper! It's absolutely divine and every time I look at your card I see some more details that I haven't noticed when I first looked. I wonder how it would be if I had it in my hands in real life :o)
We still have lots of snow but it soon will be raining too here and it will be gone. I admit I love snow but only in the mountains and not here in the cities. It's all muddy after a day and when you rush to work you always have to be careful not to fall on your nose and break your neck (which with my luck will soon happen...)!
