At this point I'm not even going to mention the total lack of snow around here. After I while, even I'm sick of hearing the complaining! lol. Let's just say, these landscape photos were taken while I was up north visiting the parentals.

Back at home I have some bird shots starring this beautiful Mourning Dove...

This handsome Blue Jay...

and I decided to go with a female for my token Cardinal shot...

For those of you who follow my personal Facebook page, you have already met this adorable friend of mine from the lake. I have finally decided to call her TUBBY TESSA, although that name may not fit her in the spring after she loses her winter padding! lol

"I really want one of those cookies, but I have serious concerns about the creature waving it at me!"

"Good grief human! Would you knock it off with the sudden movements please!"

And for my macro today, a little ice and little snow and a little sunshine! The perfect day I say!

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

  2. Stunning card with great use of the wonderful papers.

The photographs are terrific and at least you have somewhere to visit that has snow. We haven't had any at all this year so far but we do have frost and fog again--not quite the same eh?

    Love Chrissie xx

  8. Gorgeousness, Pamellia! Pure loveliness, with your delicate layers, colors, trims and laces! I especially like the rose theme, and the framed tiny rose in the middle! Beautiful creation, my sweet friend! Your little wild life friends are the truest of all, aren't they? Risking their very lives, they venture to trust you, Pamellia. You remind me of Snow White and how all the birds and critters delighted in her singing, and longed to be around her. :-)
It seems strange to hear the name "Canada" and not think of snow. We are EXTREMELY warm here. With the exception of 6 days thus far, we have remained in a "cool summer" with very humid weather, lows mostly in the 60s and even the 70s, and highs around 80-83. Very strange indeed.
But like you, I am not complaining. Nature is what she is, and I'm grateful to be comfortable and safe.
Wishing you a happy week - glad you had some special time with "The Parentals" LOL
    love,

  9. A beautiful card Pamellia, that white and gold frame sets everything off beautifully. It's so odd re your weather as I had a friend who came home early from a temporary job out there because she could not fave "another" snowy freezing Canadian winter! We still have very frosty weather, it's about where it should be for our January. Lovely wildlife photos as always. It's great seeing birds we don't have here in the UK. Have a great week, hugs xxx

Always love seeing your furry and feathered friends; I think the female is even a more beautiful version of her male counterpart! We got to see some painted buntings and other amazing wildlife in Florida! And my niece gave me some photography tips! I certainly can see why you love photography so much! Sending hugs!

  44. Luscious card, Pamellia - it reminds me of the beautiful confections we used to get at a French bakery when I was growing up; I never wanted to eat them, because they were so incredible! So two thoughts: first, would you pretty-please consider some videos or step-outs or something to show how you think about putting something together? No one will come close to your actual style, but I (and I am sure others) could sure use some of your expertise! Second, your photography would make a fabulous children's book, as would the squirrel gallery..... please tuck it into your head somewhere, friend - you have so much to offer!! xxx Lynn
