Just want to send out a Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating this weekend!! May your holiday be filled with friends, family and lots of good food, yum!! I have put together another Christmas card today using some DecoArt products. I won't go into too much of my process because I am planning a video on how I did the wood panels in the background. I did manage to pull myself away from the blue colour palette for a switch, HAHA!! Hope you like.
STAMPS: Leaves - IndigoBlu, Plaid Background - Hero Arts, sentiment image - TJ Designs, Script stamp - BoBunny, Polka Dots - Technique Tuesday. INKS: Ranger Archival inks Vermillion, Olive and Coffee, Distress ink sprays Peeled Paint and Gathered Twigs.
MIXED MEDIA: DecoArt Americana Paints Light Avocado, Titanium Snow White and Deep Burgundy, DecoArt Weathered Wood, DecoArt Decou-Page Matte, DecoArt Ornamental Snow Tex
DIES: Sizzix Tattered Poinsettia and Tag Collection. MISC: Some cheesecloth, twine, green pom poms and red ribbon that I crinkled up. Some plain red berries that I coated with DecoArt Decou-Page Matte and then sprinkled Martha Stewart Crystal glitter on them. The glitter was a lovely gift from my dear friend SAMRA.

So we finally had a lovely snowfall here on Monday night and I was raring to go!! I pulled out the good camera and headed off into the darkness to take some pictures and boy oh boy, I was not disappointed by the beauty I saw outside! I used a few different camera settings to get some amazing effects in the shots. If snow wasn't so darned cold, I swear I would sleep outside!
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.
Wondeful card, and love the snowy photos! Have a lovely day, hugs, Valerie

Well, ok - I thought the card was phenomenal until I saw the photos. Dear me... your snow photos are just the most INCREDIBLE ever seen by me....I have looked at them over and over. I wish I could capture one of them on canvas... just have no idea how... but they are just LUSCIOUSLY PERFECT. OH my. And then.... I hate to admit it but your card is just doesn't intrigue me like your photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey - just have to tease you a bit Pamellia... of course, I love the card. One of my fav parts of the card is the sentiment - love that is says Happy and Glad. The colors really float my boat too - your blues are fab - but I love the colors in this one alot. The yellow-green color is surprisingly perfect and the plaid is just so fun but still looks elegant with the embossed flowers. You just have this second sense of knowing what will go together and how to make it blend to be WONDROUS. This entire post made my day.... it really did. :) j.
