Just a quick post today. I have another Christmas card and video tutorial I would like to share with you. This card has a similar style to the one I posted the other day, but I wanted to come up with an easy shabby chic design that I could run off a bunch of, and with a couple of slight changes, make a bunch of different cards.
A huge thank you to everyone for all of your sweet comments on YouTube. This is all still pretty new to me, so it is great to get such wonderful feedback. I'm working on several more videos, so I hope you don't tired of them any time soon. lol
Short but sweet right? HAHA! Here is the video for you to have a gander at. Hope you enjoy! Don't forget to hit that little thumbs up icon, if you please. Thanks so much everyone!
I really wanted you to see how easy it is to use this basic design to get a whole bunch of different cards. All I did here was switch the stamps at the bottom for some pine trees and change the colour of ribbon. Presto, a totally different card!
UPDATE:
My card won awards in the following wonderful challenges:

ReplyDeleteHi, Pamellia! Enjoyed watching your magically dancing fingers on YouTube last night and made a note to get the DecoArt Snow Writer. Can hardly wait for it to arrive! Loved seeing, once again, how you utilize black and white in your amazing creations. These are so beautiful! Are most of your cards 4x6 inches? Thank you for sharing your heart in your art. Hugs, de
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Donna. Actually no, most of cards are 5" x 7" or sometimes even larger, but at Christmastime I scale them down a bit so they will fit into smaller envelopes for mailing. Hope that helps. hugs :)
DeleteGorgeous Christmas cards Pamellia and a fabulous video tutorial. I love the frosty look of your cards - the only place I like snow is on Christmas cards. The layers and simple embellishments are wonderful. I'm away from home without my crafty supplies and my fingers are itching now xx

I digress...everything about these cards speaks to me...the birds, the trees, the music, the SNOW, the glitter! Ah, I am in Christmas card Heaven! Can't wait to sit and watch the video...will need to save that for later when I have an uninterrupted patch of time. Something to look forward to after work! Big hugs!

ReplyDeleteSTUNNING cards, love how you can change them to be quite different.
ReplyDeleteI will view your videos with anticipated pleasure to learn something new each time. They are also wonderful in the fact you show everything and not in real time, sometimes that can be so boring. Yours are definitely NOT it that category.
Pamellia, these are breathtakingly beautiful! I'm stunned that a relatively quick card, which is so ideal for the mound of Christmas cards we all make, can be made this spectacular. You are something special, my dear friend. The designs are gorgeous.. I love the pretty stamps and ribbon, along with the perfect wintry touches that I adore. Gorgeous! I'm anxious to watch the video and am so thankful you're doing this! (And I forgot to tell you on your previous posts how much I'm enjoying the pictures from your walks! Thank you for sharing them!) I was trying to work out why I had looked at this post but not commented on it, half way though reading it realised it was because it had a video to watch and I was a little pressed for time, I planned to come back and watch it at leisure, which I have now done.
ReplyDeleteThe video is a thing of beauty in it's own right and your cards look amazing. There is so much dimension and the video allows us to see a lot of the detail that can become lost in a photograph.
I am so glad I waited for the right time to watch this. Thank you.
Dionne xx
Hi Pamellia
ReplyDeleteSlow down gal, I can't keep up with you lol!
Beautiful vision in blue. You almost shiver as you sense the frosty feel.
