I have several more in the works, but for now I have put together this shabby chic Christmas card. I do hope you enjoy!
So here is the video for your viewing pleasure! tee hee. Don't forget to hit the little thumbs up button for me while you're there. Thanks so much everyone for all your support. ENJOY!

I thought I would fancy taking an evening walk yesterday instead of the noonish walk I normally take. Partly inspired by my deep desire to see the sunset (thanks Jane!), I headed out behind my unit to see the pretty sky. To my dismay, there is a long line of buildings on the other side of the street that is obstructing the horizon (how dare they mess with my view), so I will have to settle for sunrises until it's warm enough to trek to the other side of THAT mountain!
The walk was not a complete waste by any means, I discovered some more cattails! Some of them are just starting to explode, some of them were close enough to touch (although I didn't) and some of them were so tall, I had to look up to see the tops of them!!! I LOVE THESE THINGS!
As you can see it was getting pretty dark by the end of my walk, but just as I thought I was done with my camera...I found this creepy little hideaway off to the side of one of the paths. If I wasn't absolutely positive there might be an axe-wielding killer in there, I might have gone in to investigate further. I really gotta stop watching horror movies! HAHA!
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.
What a shame re the sunset Pamellia but I'm glad I inspired you to take some photos with some different light it's fun isn't it. Your card is wonderful. .Gorgeous deer and colours. I will watch your video when I get home from work. You're very generous with your time and effort doing it. Hugs xx

It's lovely to see your photos Pamellia and I was interested to see the reeds in the second and third as they are also part of our Natural habitat here in the Cambridgeshire Fens, growing in large number in the dykes (large ditches/streams) and it's always said they are unique to our location. Just goes to show you see.
ReplyDeleteA super creation again today and I am loving the colour palette with all the frostiness.

Hi Pamellia: Looking forward to your seeing your videos. As always, your card is so pretty, and love that sparkly bow. Just wondering...do you mail these, and how do you protect them? Bubble wrap, cardboard envelope? I have a few friends away I would love to make something with lots of layers, but am so afraid they'll get destroyed by the Post Office unless they are sent in a padded box! I guess that's why my cards have such few embellishments because most of mine are mailed. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Sharon. I try to keep the embellishments soft ones if they are being mailed, that way they don't get broken or squished too much, but I usually just use a regular envelope. Most of the cards I show on here will actually be hand delivered so I don't have to worry about it. hugs :)
DeleteOh, I forgot to add, I enjoy looking at your photos as well. It came to mind that your fourth photo of the trees, branches and cloudy grey sky looks like some the of Penny Black watercolour scenes with their branch stamps!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, Pamellia! Your video is terrific! And this card... Fabulous! I love the non-traditional color palette, and the layers of sparkly goodness. So wonderful to see how you make the magic happen!

Brilliant! LOVED the video its excellent! Cxxx
ReplyDeleteWow, Pamellia, not only is your card fantastic, and one of my many, many favorites, but the video was like taking a mini vacation to Toronto. I learned so much; your process is so efficient, and I'm going to be borrowing a few of your crafty ideas for my Closet. Efficiency aside, your design is just fabulous and so festive! all those details just melt my heart. Thank you so much for taking your time and all your hard work to make these videos...they and you are a blessing!
ReplyDeleteYes, please steer clear of dark corners. Don't know what the crime thing is up there, but I don't even feel comfortable walking in my own neighborhood after dark. It's well lit, but lots of shadows, and hoolagans like to visit our neighborhood, because they it's a direct route to the mall through the woods. A couple of years ago one of those hoolagans tried to bang my front door down, when he was trying to get away from some" bad people". I found out later, he was running away from the mall, where he had gotten into some trouble, and the police were after him. OK, I'll stop with the motherly advise... I always enjoy your walks! Big hugs!
You make every thing look so easy, just so very beautiful, gorgeous colours and texture.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comments.
I love your walking area, I'm a bit of a "don't" see danger person, so I would probably have gone to look at the wonderful rock hiding in there and would have frightened anyone hiding behind it LOL.
Oh what a lovely frosty delight, Pamellia! Love the mix of colors and textures. The shimmer is just a lovely touch! The walking trail is fabulous. I wish I had a nice place to walk and take in nature's beauty! Hugs and Happy Weekend!
