Heart Heart Love

Hello Everyone!

Today I'm sharing a romantic card for the upcoming Valentine's celebration, featuring papers from the Pion Design collections "Patchwork of Life" and "Vintage Wedding". The wood chippies are all from Scrapiniec.

I hope everyone had a good week. I had a rough week, as I was learning about baby squirrels all week! Yes, that's sarcasm! I started my studies to become a squirrel rehabilitator a while back, and I'm currently learning how to determine the age of infant squirrels (we call them pinkies). So far, I'm just learning from photos and videos, but pretty soon the season of baby squirrels will arrive and I will get to see them first hand! I'm so excited!! Meanwhile, how about some more winter pics.

"Who are you! What do you want! Why are pointing that thing at me!"
~Mr Cardinal~

There's no better feeling than these teeny tiny feet resting on your hand. It makes me realize just how big and powerful humans are. I just wish more of us would use that power to do good.

Blue Jay shot from last winter...

"I'm so happy, my friends are gonna think I've gone squirrelly!"
~Scarlet~

"Are you gonna be here long? You're standing right where I wanna jump!"
~Mary Gold~

"OK, I'm coming in for that cashew. No sudden movements lady!"
~Baby Kay ~

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

I'm so happy for your studies to become a squirrel rehabilitator, Pamellia!!! Yay!!! :D It's wonderful!!! And learning about baby squirrels seems a great theme!! I'm sure that all will be very useful and important for you and them :)
Love that cardinal photo, how fun and beautiful!
I completely agree with your sage words "It makes me realize just how big and powerful humans are. I just wish more of us would use that power to do good" Great thought. Humans always forget that we are animals too, and near parents of monkeys, as history says. Kids learn this at school... but adults forget this. :)
Sweet squirrels photos as always! Scarlet is really a wonderful girl, I'm sure that she will found a boy-friend for Valentine LOL :D
Hugs and enjoy your studies!! Well done about them!

  5. Beautiful card, Pamellia! I love all those heart diecuts/chipboard shapes. Are they all from Scrapinec? How wonderful you have an opportunity to become a squirrel rehabilitator! It must be fascinating and enjoyable. Glad to see you had some good snowfalls. Every time we get a chance for precipitation, the temps warms up and we just get rain. As soon as the rain passes, the temps get cold again.

Whilst visiting friends who live in a glen in our Caringorm National Park, we were driving down a track and five young stags bounded in front of the car, amazing sight, of course no camera to the ready, Kate x

The snowy scene looks beautiful! We have had snow falling for about three days now but none of it has stuck, sadly. Scarlet, Baby Kay and Mary Gold look beautifully healthy. It sounds like you are really enjoying your studies - you really are the perfect person to learn how to look after the little baby squirrels that will soon be there! Hugs, Anne xxx

  15. My precious friend, at long last I am here to leave you well-deserved love. Things have not gone as planned, but my heart remains hopeful. Peeking at your work on mobile devices perks up my heart, but I am SO thrilled to actually be on a computer to type out a message to you. It's been far too long since I've told you how much I adore your heartfelt creations, both craftily and animal-photography'ily! (Yes, I totally tried to make that word work! Ha!) Your card is magical, layered with the sweetest love and blossoming in the true gift of hope. The trims, chippies, and flowers make my heart dance. Scrapiniec is blessed beyond measure to have you! I nearly applied... I wish I had! Perhaps we could have been teamies. :) Your work is dreamy and I am so grateful for your gift.

And oh how I treasure your photography! Only a beautiful heart can capture moments as you do. Thank you for including them in your posts, my dear Pamellia. I love them so much. Sending tons of love and hugs your way, today and always.

    Hugs and blessings,

  31. Here I am playing a little catch up! So happy I was able to see this card, Pamellia! It is a vision of delicacy and soft romance! I love those layers that make me want to touch this and peek under each one. Those flower clusters arranged with the laces and most delicate chippies are wonderful additions to the beautiful papers you've chosen. A Masterpiece!

Love those photos! I can't wait to hear about your experiences with the infant squirrels. Sounds like there's much to be learned about squirrel rehab. I found out one of my neighbors down the street has an interest in that. She's really into all sorts of wildlife, and raises butterflies as well. She's a very interesting lady! Sending warm hugs!
