Today I am sharing this Mother's Day card I have created using Pion Design papers from the collections "Days Gone By" and "Summer Falls Into Autumn". I love mixing and matching the Pion papers to create so many wonderful colour combinations!
Pion products:
Days Gone By - Beautiful Views PD10001
Days Gone By - Lovely Days PD10003
Days Gone By - Embrace the Magic PD10004
Summer Falls Into Autumn - Plum Garden PD9606
The wood flourish is from Scrapiniec, the mulberry roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and everything else is from my stash. The cameo was a plain diamante crystal that I coloured with my new Copic marker, and the frame was bronze and I painted it white.

This has absolutely been the strangest winter that I can remember. The weather changes faster than I can keep up with for my posts, so I'm just gonna keep sharing winter photos until I see the first bud on the tree outside, or I run out of snowy shots... whichever comes first. lol
Beautiful Chickadee!
"A squirrel just took the whole suet block! That way, he went that way!"
~Mr Nuthatch~
"Nope, too much snow. Not going down there no matter how many peanuts you throw!"
~Mrs Cardinal~
"This was just sitting here on the snow, I'm so suspicious! Sniff sniff. Yep, it's a peanut, yay!"
~Scarlet~
"Hey, you up there... knock it off with the snow would ya!"
~Mr Chubb~
You all know my little buddy Rocky, the gunmetal grey squirrel. He's in trouble and needs all of the good vibes and karma that you can send him. He has a bad infection and I didn't have the proper meds on hand, so I had to order it on line. It hasn't arrived yet and Rocky is running out of time. Please hold on a little longer buddy, I'm coming!
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.
Wonderful card, so pretty. Great photos, your feathered and furry friends are all looking really good. Strange weather here, too....Hugs, Valerie

Such a fun, fabric-laden, creation! Definitely a mother's day style card. Was your mom a seamstress? My mother would have loved this card. My goodness! It's amazing how the geese can be in that water! I suppose the water is warmer than the snow, but still! Yikes! Nature is so incredible. I hear ya about the yo-yoing weather! I think it's great that we can be warm or cool despite the fickleness of it all, but I feel for the wildlife and farmers! Thanks for sharing today. hugs, de

Decadent, yes! Can I be your Mama?! What a gorgeous card, Pamellia! I love what you've done with the cameo and how you've mingled all those dainty laces with those romantic papers! Just lovely! I bet your Mom is going to cry when she gets this! (good tears!)
ReplyDeleteAs always, I adore your photos. Great shot of the geese on the lake. How beautiful a scene. I was smiling when I heard you were getting snow again today. I do hope you can get out and enjoy one more snowfall. I noticed the flowering quince are blooming, always the first sign of spring here. It won't be long. Prayers for you and dear Rocky that the stuff he needs arrives soon and works for him. Why do so many squirrels get these infections? I guess as a casual observer, I don't see the sick ones here. You are a wonderful soul to take notice and do something for these little ones. Hugs!
The paper combo is just so lovely as is the entire card Pamellia. Hoping that your little Rocky made it. Thank you for all you do for your furry family. Xj.
ReplyDeleteCatching up on missed post while on vacation...
ReplyDeleteWell, this is one STUNNING card my friend! Love the rich colors and all the shabby layers of gorgeousness!

Another beautiful card, do you ever run out of ideas Pamellia? You are such an inspiration. This is another 'busy' card, with so much to look at and lots of gorgeous embellishments and fab papers.
ReplyDeleteI am loving all of your winter wonderland photographs, although I am going to be rushing through the rest of your posts now looking for news of Rocky, I am so annoyed at myself for getting so behind.
