To continue with our visit to the MacEwan Terrace Gardens, here are a few more shots of the flowers and lovely grounds they have there. Thank you to everyone who helped identify all the flowers from Wednesday!! Can you do it again??
Something very strange. I haven't seen a single butterfly all summer. I thought for sure a Botanical Garden would be full of butterflies, but all I saw were bees. Very strange indeed!
Back on the home front, my baby Sparrow has become a regular. She sits out in the tree for hours at a time eyeballing the feeder and chirping away. I hope she's not too traumatized from getting stuck there the other day. Come on girl, you can do it!!
Oh my gosh, tell me you don't want to scoop him up! He's even smaller than Junior!
Now if I could just get PRECIOUS to come down out of the tree, I would officially have a baby squirrel day care center on the patio!
And what about JUNIOR? Well if he's not sleeping under the cushions, then he's sleeping on top of the cushions!
OH, Good grief!
My token after dinner shot with a touch of artsy thrown in.
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.
Wonderful card, so much to see and enjoy. Love all the photos, too, those gardens are well worth a visit. And of course, your totally sweet visitors are gorgeous, and that baby sparrow is still my fave, so sweet. Have a great weekend, hugs, Valerie

Pamellia, have you really only been blogging for two years?! I feel like it's been much longer. I'm so glad you found your way to our lovely blogging community. Crafters really are such lovely people and your cards and beautiful designs have been such a treat to behold for the past two years. You have a magical way with the shabby chic style. I love your creations. What a wonderful way to celebrate the two years. Thank you for the sweet gesture and I would love to be in the running to win. Now let's talk flowers. The top ones I believe are Giant Chives, the bright pink daisy like one with the deep orange centre that pops up above the petals is an echinacea flower. I recognise but can't name the others, so will watch to see what others come back with. Gorgeous shots of the playful Squirrels. Hugs, Wends xoxo
ReplyDeletePamellia, I believe I saw this card in your step by step at Frilly and Funkie, but I better rush back over there to be sure. I just love the candy stripe candy looking ribbon and that striped prancing deer! But the entire card is a fabulous design with so many fun details to look at. Think this is my favorite as is the last one! Durn, Pamellia, you make it so hard to choose!
ReplyDeleteYour flower shots are amazing, and I seriously think you should be going professional. I think the flower after the allium is hosta. They are desired more for their big leaves more than the flower. My sister is a grower of these and does a lot of hosta shows. Hard to tell exactly without the leaves in the photo, but I'd be willing to bet. I believe the blue one is a scaevola. I agree with Mrs. Duck on the others. I haven't seen many butterflies this year and no honey bees at all. I saw my first wasp today.
Gotta run! Have a wonderful evening! Big hugs!
Sorry! I was so wrapped up with that beautiful card and flowers, I forgot to say Happy Anniversary! Wow! 2 years goes by quick! You have offered a very generous prize package to celebrate and hopefully I can get that photo up on my sidebar! I'm one of your biggest fans! Hee! Hee! Mwah!
ReplyDeletePamellia, your heart is as beautiful as your creations and I am so grateful to have you as a friend! The best thing about this crafty community is the friendships that form... I had no idea lifelong friendships would emerge from this hobby. You hold a special place in my heart, my dear friend. Happy happy birthday/anniversary for your crafty home that inspires people all over the world! We are blessed by you every single day. :o) Thank you for offering such generous prizes as we celebrate YOU!
ReplyDeleteOf course your card is perfectly delightful, encouraging Christmas dreams to flutter within. The traditional color palette is stunning and I am thoroughly enamored with that reindeer. :o) This card is the perfect accompaniment to this celebration because you are a gift to us! Every visit to your blog is indeed like Christmas morning. Layers upon layers of inspiration adorn this festive beauty, with sweet gifts nestled throughout. And naturally your pictures are breathtakingly beautiful and fill my heart with warm fuzzies. Thank you for ending my day in such a lovely way. Have a sparkly night, my treasured friend. :o)
Hugs and blessings,
Karen

Beautiful card! Congratulations on your blog anniversary. I'm a new follower here & would love to join your giveaway. I have a giveaway on my blog as well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful distressed layers on your shabby chic card Pamellia. I watched some of your videos last week and my little girl was like, "I thought you have seen it that day?" lol. Just can't get enough and looking forward to see more! Congratulations on your two years, you have shared so much with us all and gave me lots of inspirations. The photos of the garden are amazing. Sorry can't help name the flowers because I'm not too sure if those beauties can be found in my country or the nursery nearby but it's really interesting to see the landscape as my garden still needs more upgrading {no mojo to do gardening these days because I'm sewing dresses at the moment when I'm not playing with colors, lol}. I love your photography skills! Stunning shots!! All the best to you Pamellia and thanks for the sweet candy. Big hugs xx
