Today I have put together a pink garden themed card for Pion Design using the Easter Greetings collection and the Linnaeus Botanical Journal collection.
If you remember the shaped card that I made not too long ago (HERE). I had a request for something similar, only large enough to hold a photograph. The Spellbinders die set I used wasn't big enough for that, so I have improvised as best I can. Here is the final result.

This card was inspired by a very lovely and talented lady. Tracy Payne of Crafteezee.

The moulds I used were from Prima, Martha Stewart and ModPodge. The butterfly is Frantic Stamper, the die shapes are from Spellbinders (same as the other card) the flowers and are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The Prima mould, the corrugated cardboard and the Petaloo laces are from Linda's shop The Funkie Junkie Boutique, everything else is from my stash.

Today some shots from my neighbour Lake Wabukayne. I love walking this route, it has quickly become one of my favourites. So many wonderful places to sit and have tea...ok just kidding about the tea. lol. It's still very lush around this lake, even in this horrible drought!
There are always so many new plants and flowers every time I go out for a walk. There are always lots of these Swamp Roses, seems they never go out of style. lol
Possibly Pink Pampas Grass?
Spiderwort Flowers (best name ever)
The closest match I could find for this flowering bush is a Gray Dogwood bush? Any suggestions ladies, or am I perhaps correct with this one??
I believe the ducks are beginning to recognize the lady with the purse full of food, because now they come swimming over to me, the minute I sit down on the bench.
I've decided that I would NEVER survive a horror movie. When you hear a noise in the woods, you're supposed to run in the opposite direction. Nope, not me, I run towards the noise! HELLLOOO! Glad I did this time, because I discovered this baby Red Squirrel hiding in a thicket! SO TINY!!
Back on the home front... you guessed it. JUNIOR lazing around while he eats, and having his afternoon nap!! I'm going to have to rename him LAZY J, if he continues with these habits! lol
Linus can't get to the food bowl, so he patiently waits on the roof while I enjoy a glass a wine.
last but not least, my token after dinner shot...
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.
Wonderful card, with lots of lovely layers and details. Great photos, too. Ducks are always hungry and come swimming very quickly if you have food with you! Have a good week, hugs, Valerie

I love pink and boy do I love this xxx Yep Junior has to be renamed I think! Maybe you could take a flask of tea for your walks and then sit and have some lol xxxx Mind you, you would probably prefer to take food for the wildlife. Those gorgeous ducks are coming along, so very cute x

Oh Pamellia... my heart is fluttering wildly at the beauty before me! This is my newest favorite! I cannot get enough of Easter Greetings, as it inspires such dreamy creations. The layering is exceptional and I just have no words for the elegance. Everything is simply perfect. The moulds are stunning and the trim work is beautiful. (That is such an understatement.) I really love that butterfly and am now wavering in my decision to not allow myself to buy any more butterfly dies! Exquisite work, my dear friend. While I can see the inspiration from the talented Tracy, this has Pamellia written all over it. This will be treasured.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures continue to fill my heart with happiness! You capture nature's beauty and sweetness as wonderfully as your heart creates your cards. I cannot believe the shot of that sweet little foot! I can't help but want to tickle it. He's adorable and I love seeing his 'adventures' every post... ;) Hehe! Thank you for the joy, Pamellia! Have a beautiful evening. :o)
