Today I have a two wonderful new challenge blogs that I'm going to enter my Birthday Wishes card into. A bit about the blogs in a minute, but first a bit about the card.
The background was painted with two different shades of purple acrylic paint. I flicked a bit of the dark purple off of the end of my brush to get some speckles. The honeycomb pattern was done with a home-made stencil and home-made texture paste. I stamped some script with VersaFine Onyx black ink.
The frame and butterfly were handmade using Martha Stewart molds and polymer clay. The flowers were handmade and coloured with Tim Holtz distress inks Dusty Concord and Scattered Straw. I hope you enjoy!
I am totally jazzed about the second challenge I am entering this card into. It's The Mixed Media Card Challenge. Everyone likes to use mixed media, right girls? So, a challenge blog just for that...how fun!! New challenges are posted monthly and they each have their own theme, so there's still lots of creativity with the challenges, the design team and all the amazing entries. I highly recommend you check it out.
This is for Challenge #1 {Touch of Nature}. I made sure to include lots of flowers, leaves, and of course, the butterfly. I can't wait to see what they come up with next month!
